My family and I came here just on a whim one weekend we’re new to Tennessee and we like going to State parks and my wife loves any kind of waterfall so we hopped in the car and came here and it was beautiful gorgeous kind of a pain to get to a lot of windy little roads that were beautiful but the signage for where the trails are was kind of lacking so we kind of had to hunt for the trail to the waterfall but besides that it was a beautiful day great place to take your family have a picnic. It’s not a big park but it is pretty.

This is a beautiful park with nice short hiking trails. The bluff trail is steep but once you get to the top, the view is amazing. The waterfall trail is pretty and an easy hike.

Hiked the bluff trail. According to my Apple Watch, from the far car park to the top of the bluff and back is 1.42 miles. The way up took about 30 mins, which accounted for a couple stops to admire moss, ferns, and lichens. I’m a slow hiker, preferring to observe and enjoy the vibes rather than making progress. The stairs up are nice and there’s some natural steps made from roots and rocks. The bluff had lovely views of the river and a bench at the tippy top to sit. There were other hikers enjoying a picnic and plenty of photo op spots. The parking was plentiful in the second lot but the first lot only had about 12 spots. On busy days, plan to go down to the second lot 1/2 mile past the first one. We saw many people with their dogs (leashed), and plenty of kids around too. The trail is clean and well maintained and there were porta-potties at the bottom.

Beautiful views, some steep narrow trails but we managed with 6 kids- one of which was 3 and walked mostly alone. Parking is a pretty good walk from the trailhead especially if you can’t get a spot at the lower parking. Overall great experience and can’t wait to visit again soon!

Upon arrival there is a decent sized parking area with a few, very, very well kept Porta-Potties beside a nice rock formation. The signs clearly direct you to the hiking trails as well as give a few details. The views at every spot are amazing. I cannot wait to put-in my kayak here at a future date. The waters are brisk but not terrible and the trails are good for any skill level, leaving the last part of "The Bluff Trail" as the most difficult, clearly marked with a red badge. The views are stunning, almost unreal. Opens a person's eyes to why the Indians thought these lands were so precious. It's a site a person can definitely see and enjoy, more than once.
