George Mahon Park

My kids loved the zip line swings!

This park is awesome for its unique features, that being ziplines. The big one is a swing on a metal track that has a few bumps and is a ton of fun. It is large enough and strong enough for even adults to ride. The park also features another smaller and slower ziplines on a metal track with a chair meant for young or disabled children to have fun as well. In additional there is a ground-level merry go round and 2 musical devices. My 8 year old son likes this park and we have been here more than once.

Nice peaceful park with a small parking lot I guess one playground is blocked off right now maybe it's broken or unsafe I dont know but the other one is still open my daughter had fun!

It's extremely frustrating that the city of Lubbock won't keep better maintenance standards on the parks with tennis facilities. Especially those with lights for those of us who enjoy playing tennis in the evenings. It's a small ask for light bulb replacement.

Nice place to play Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and baseball (practice). Picnic can also be managed. The drawback of this place is restroom. There is no restroom nearby.
