(from Google)Been coming here since we moved to the Northdale area, 23 years. We really enjoy this park. Walking, biking, archery, the trails to explore, it's beautiful. The staff that take care of this park are phenomenal too, very friendly and polite. You can tell they take pride in the park and it's upkeep. Really appreciate the cold water and cups along the trails, so nice on a hot day or any day for that matter. We visit so often that we bought the yearly pass. The people that visit the park are most friendly too, we're all out enjoying the same thing, divine creation. Peace and enjoy!;)
Lake Park has honestly become one of our favorite places in the area because there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want to be active, relax, or just spend time outdoors with family, this park has it all. The BMX track is always exciting to watch, and it is awesome seeing riders of all ages out there practicing and having fun. The RC car track is another hidden gem that makes this park unique. Even if you are not racing yourself, it is entertaining to stop and watch the cars fly around the track. The playgrounds are great for kids and are spread out enough that it never feels too crowded. My family especially loves the walking trails. There is something incredibly peaceful about walking through the woods surrounded by nature. It is one of the few places where you can slow down, clear your mind, and enjoy real Florida scenery. Every visit feels a little different because of the wildlife. We have seen turtles sunbathing, deer quietly walking through the woods, snakes crossing trails, and even alligators from a safe distance. It makes the park feel alive and gives kids a chance to appreciate nature instead of always being indoors. Another thing that stands out is how clean and well-maintained the park is. The bathrooms are consistently clean, which is honestly rare for many public parks. The trails, playgrounds, and common areas also look cared for, and that makes the experience so much better. Most importantly, I always feel safe here. Even when the park is busy, it still has a calm and welcoming atmosphere. You see families, walkers, bikers, and people just enjoying the outdoors together. Lake Park is one of those places that reminds you how beautiful and relaxing Florida can be when you get away from traffic and crowds for a while. We absolutely love it and will continue coming back for years to come.
Beautiful day for a walk in the park. Lot of native shrubs blooming and some fruiting in the area. Spotted a gopher tortoise and a lovely black racer. Plus tons of birds.
Bring the RC car, the BMX, the kids and have some fun. The have a big playground, trails to ride and clean bathrooms. We love it here
I decided to take a walk here and I liked the park overall. It’s very good when it comes to variety of things to do: Hiking, archery, BMX, and canoeing. The main lake at the park is called Lake Starvation for some reason. The hiking trails themselves are well marked, but navigation-wise, it’s hard to get around without a map. There aren’t as many views, but this park is also close to many different other activities. Overall, a good park, but improvements can be made on navigation.
