We enjoyed our brief stay at this park. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The ground were well taken care of. We basically had a bath house to ourselves as it was rainy and a lot of sites were vacant. The bathhouse near us was new and amazingly clean with hooks and benches for your toiletries. We loved the private toilet and shower combo. We hiked many of the well-marked and maintained trails available on site. The campground host rode quietly around on his golf cart with firewood to purchase.

We have an annual tradition of hiking on our Anniversary. Hiked here in late April and loved it. Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, really nice time.

Big Ridge State Park is very beautiful and peaceful. We did the Ghost House Trail, and it was fun although there are tons of tree roots so the walking isn't easy. It's also hilly throughout. I wouldn't rate it easy, maybe somewhere between easy and moderate. We had a good time here, and would go back.

Very peaceful and beautiful park. Many trails and a swimming beach. Shaded picnic area with grills. Camping grounds also. Well maintained.

Spent five days here and could have easily spent more! This campground offers so much! We rented a kayak and fishing boat one day, swam at their beach almost every night, took beautiful pics next to their grist mill at sunset and the list goes on. We didn’t even scratch the surface on what they have to offer. Their campsites are spacious and bath houses are clean. Their wood burns great, so buy without hesitation. Many times you go to campgrounds and their wood doesn’t burn, not the case here. The campground is quiet and peaceful (at least our experience). We will definitely be back!!
