It's a big water retention areas. Big enuff to fly a kite, run your dogs, run your rc cars & deep snuff for your rc boats. Plenty of mud after it rains. Drys out in 4 days

Great park to walk your dog or walk around the part for a little exercise. There are no facilities at this park. The basin is very large and can be used a party or other activities that need a lot of space. The park is generally not crowded.

This is not a dog park. There is no fence. While it is a nice open park to play with your dogs, it is right by a busy street, freeway and canal so if your dog has bad recall don't risk being off leash. No playground for kids. Very small parking lot.

Holmes Park is a water basin located in the east part of Mesa. It is well maintained by the city of Mesa and typically kept very green throughout the seasons here in the valley. It is pet friendly with pet waste stations for your small and large furry family members. It’s size is adequate to accommodate a jog or a simple walk around the park, and even a glimpse of some moving water next to a canal waterway located on the west part of this park. It has single space parking as well. Plenty of lighting if you want to spend time tossing a football, or baseball, or a frisbee with your children or pets in the evening.

Nice little park along the Eastern canal trail to stop and take a breather. No formal benches to sit down though so be prepared to lay on the grass if needed
