(from Google)My wife and I enjoy our evening walks at the park. It is full of beautiful scenery, water, and wildlife. We are pretty upset they will be changing the park to campgrounds and will be charging a fee. The restrooms and picnic areas need to be replaced as the old ones are a disaster.
There was trash almost everywhere, a random dog chased me, there was several sketchy people. It was a nice scenery in some areas but I had to be cautious around my surroundings and didn’t feel comfortable at all. I personally wouldn’t come back here
Great place if you like being chased by stray dogs, glared at by homeless people, and stepping over human feces and trash to get to the river. Full on brush shelters built along the banks full of trash (clothes, toilet paper, old bikes, broken stereos, etc.). Also the parking lot is full of people sitting in their cars doing drugs who stare at you as you drive in. I'm a dude who almost never feels uncomfortable in places like this, but I did not feel safe at all here. This could be such a nice park but is pretty much taken over by homeless people and stray cats and dogs.
This location of the park is in the Airport neighborhood. It's beautiful,it has Picnic Area,Soccer Field, dog friendly and much more. I would suggest going during the day.
Park temporarily closed I suppose because of large homeless population kinda disappointed with the Regional Park service there because a lot of the trash cans are full When I was there I took a short walk. I really like the park. I’ll probably give this place FIVE STARS if they didn’t have the trash in the homeless
