Lake Crabtree County Park

Did not feel welcomed. I enjoyed a long walk around the lake. I had lunch at a picnic table overlooking the lake. It was lovely. I went back to my van to relax and read a book. Since the lot was empty I moved to a corner, yes I was taking up 2 spots so my side door could look out at the woods. If people started to arrive I would have moved back to normal parking. I'm only 19 feet long and fit in a parking space. A woman came to my door and rudely said "excuse me, you need to move, this is event parking and there's going to be an event later." I said ok I'll be leaving in a little while. She said "you need to move to the RV parking lot you can't stay here" I ignored her. I never saw signs for "RV parking" and I'm really just a van. She definitely ruined my peace and tranquility I was having at your park.

Absolutely beautiful park! … Taking a stroll on ‘the old trail’ was magical 💫 I saw some amazingly colorful birds as well 😍

I met up with a friend to walk around the park for an hour. We parked in the first visitor lot which is near the nature trail. That trail is crushed limestone and footbridges - a gem that is less than a mile. From there we walked past the volleyball nets and meandered on various trails near the lake and through the woods. One mountain biker passed up. It’s a fun park to explore as long as you don’t mind not always knowing exactly what path you’re on. The lake views are also gorgeous.

Great place to spend the day outdoors. Good for kayaking SUPs or sailing on small watercraft. The lake is (often) only waist deep near the middle and certain areas, so if you happen to capsize, you will be able to stand up.

It’s a nice park in the area! You’ll get to expose yourself to sunlight and nature! Great place to do picnic or outdooring like fishing and playing toys on the lake! Cool place
