(from Google)Went on a 10 minute walk here and my dog was covered in ticks. I do not recommend hiking here!
Cannot recommend. Poorly marked. For some reason the markers are white which the further up you go you can't decipher if it's a spot on a rock or a trail marker. Super rocky and a lot of vertical climbing.... you will question every step because of how poorly marked it is. Slippery in fall from acorns and leaves. Enjoyed the first bit but once it's get to the rocky elevation parts I would caution one.... sturdy shoes, hiking poles as well. Enjoy... but be careful not to get lost.
Nice but small county park. There is a parking lot that is easy to drive up to and well marked and maintained. There are just a couple of trails inside the park, and they are well blazed. No super great views, but there's a little wooden bridge over a stream. Take the goat path if you want a little more of a challenge.
Mostly technical and vertical trails, with beautiful woodlands and a mountain. However, I thought the scenic lookout would show me the Tappan zee bridge but it overlooks the palisades mall and the highway. Download the map before you go!
The traffic is nearby so can be heard but the views are spectacular
