I was excited to visit this new dog park this morning with my Sassy. Sadly, it was lacking. There are no trees in either dog park, the entry gates are dragging and failing, there isn't a water source so bring your own, the poop bag dispensers were empty, and the worst part was the sod condition. The entire park is uneven and full of ruts, making it not only tricky for humans to walk on, but a pet could get injured running after balls or Frisbee's. It's obvious what happened. They attempted to cut the grass either after a rare rainfall or the sprinkler system soaking. The sod was wet and mushy, and the weight of the heavy lawnmowers sank into the sod. I'm really disappointed and sad for Mrs. Peggy Lee who left the money after her death for this park and others.
Went at 6:30pm way too dark even for the kids playing basketball.
Excited to have a dog park and a playground in the neighborhood. Hoping we as a community can keep it nice together.
