(from Google)Cloudland Canyon State Park has got to be one of the prettiest parks I've ever visited! Loved our first visit. The overlooks had gorgeous views, visited the visitors center and they are building a big new one at park entrance. We even did some geo-caching in park! Loved seeing mountain laurel and rhododendrons in bloom!
Cloudland Canyon State Park has an amazing trail with incredible views all around. There are two beautiful waterfalls and stunning mountain scenery everywhere you go. I absolutely loved it there, it was unforgettable. I really want to come back again and highly recommend visiting!
Cloudland Canyon State Park is easily one of the most beautiful places in Georgia! The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially from the overlooks—you really feel like you’re on top of the world. The waterfall hike is a must-do. It’s a bit of a workout with the stairs, but completely worth it when you reach the falls. The sound of the water and the peaceful surroundings make it such a rewarding experience. The park is very clean and well-maintained, and the trails are clearly marked. Whether you’re hiking, taking photos, or just enjoying nature, there’s something for everyone. If you’re anywhere near North Georgia or Chattanooga, don’t miss this place. It’s truly unforgettable!
Beautiful views of the canyon. One overlook trail is paved and wheelchair accessible. Most trails require a lot of steps and rough footing. You will know you have hiked when you get finished. Cherokee falls was an easy excellent experience. Construction on visitors center and entry road. Should be nice when finished. Cave tours and nature walks available on certain days. Pre-registration may be required.
They have a little construction going on, but it doesnt take away from the beauty of the park. The overlook of the waterfalls is staggering. The sun covered hills, and the carved valley is like a mixing bowl for the the 2 bursting falls. We came early spring, but I know during the fall the variety of colorful foliage and falling leaves would be lovely. It reminded me of a mixture of Petit Jean State Park and Devils Den State Park. Worth the drive, but if you walk to the falls be ready for a Great Wall experience. I think the guy said there were 12000 stairs.
