Bush's Pasture Park

Very nice park! Love the roses and garden. Lots of squirrels too!

Bush’s Pasture Park is easily one of the nicest places to walk in Salem. I went for a walk here yesterday and was reminded how peaceful and well-maintained the park is. The walking paths are wide and clean, with a great mix of open grassy areas, large mature trees, and beautiful landscaping throughout the park. It’s the kind of place where you can take a relaxing stroll, get some exercise, or just slow down and enjoy the scenery for a while. The park feels safe and family-friendly, and there were people out walking dogs, jogging, and enjoying the nice weather. The gardens and historic surroundings give it a unique character compared to a typical city park. I also appreciated how quiet it felt even though it’s located close to downtown Salem. There are plenty of benches and shaded spots to stop and relax, and the overall atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the area, Bush’s Pasture Park is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy walking trails, nature, or simply a beautiful outdoor space.

This is a pretty nice park to walk and sit. It has a good mixture of open filed and wooded area so you can choose to sit in the sun or the shade. It's a good size and in a quiet neighborhood so you can find a spot to relax and forget you're in a city?

This is a large and nice park. there are several parking lots of different sizes on different sides of the park. I parked in a main park near the art gallery and historic house. there are two playgtounds, walking trails (both other and unpathed), bathrooms, a stadium in the center of the park, and a rose garden. the art gallery is free to pursue and opens at noon, so does the historic house/museum. I didn't check out the museum this trip, but the grounds are free to walk around and it's a great location for a picnic. there are several picnic tables throughout the park and there are lots of trees for shade, but also great areas of field for kids who want to run around or play some field games. It seems well kept up in general and is a pleasantly tidy park. the playground near the art gallery is smaller and is geared towards younger kids and seems designed to be accommodating of kids and people with special needs too. the second playground had a taller structure and seemed better suited for bigger or very rambunctious kids. The two kids I had with me enjoyed playing at both places.

Beautiful Rose Park, you got to stop and small the roses. You got to stop and count your blessings everyday. It's a beautiful place, don't miss it if you're you're in Salem. You can find lots of old roses and modern roses, all beautiful with amazing fragrance and well taken care. Thank you volunteers and gardeners for your commitment to this beautiful park.
