(from Google)Consider the entrance is in a residential area... Come quietly. Beautiful hike and views. Early start and in winter green... wonderful. Variety of terrain with more flats than expected. About 1200ft elevation.
I love starting my hiking from this place as its not so crowded and because it's close to the houses I feel safer leaving my car there
Beautiful and very easy to access from multiple spots. Great for hiking, biking, trail running, dog walking and being with friends, families or your significant other. The trails have varying levels of intensity with clearly marked signage and for bikers, fear not, they have a couple stations to repair your bike!
Not a bad way to access the park. You can follow the signs around to Shepherd's Pond and from there get to the summit of north Fortuna Mt. Also many other trails branch off. Lots of flowers right now. It's a bit of a climb to the summit though.
Bit of a steep rocky climb for our stroller. Good for hikers, not for strollers. Beautiful hike down to the left on the North Fortuna Rim Trail.
