(from Google)Absolutely gorgeous lake and walking path around it. It’s a hidden paradise I didn’t discover until living around here for several years. It’s a perfect place to sit and think or walk around. Several covered areas with picnic tables underneath. Plenty of trash cans and portapottys here on 8/20/2024. I don’t fish but it has a fishing dock. And I would recommend bringing bug spray on a visit here because there’s lots of flying insects like mosquitos etc around the lake. Also has a giant hill in part of park, not sure if it’s for sledding it’s pretty steep. And it’s near the airport and near train tracks so you get pretty views of planes taking off and of trains going past. Sometimes phone/data signal isn’t that great out here, as a heads up. It also has cornhole/bag throwing area And outdoor volleyball courts!
A wonderful place. Nice walking trails. I have seen lots of people fishing there. There are also options at that place for kids to play. Definitely a refreshing place.
The park is very nice. There is a hill with a view over a lake and a very nice playground for kids with many activities. There are also multiple shedded picnic areas with grills. We go there for a walk around the lake and in the winter we used to go for sledding from the hill.
This is perhaps one of the BEST parks I’ve honestly ever been to!!! There’s a musical part, a kids learning part with educational things on the floor for them to follow and do. They are been engage to think, and learn while walking etc! That’s amazing. Learning can and should be fun! It’s clean and pretty quiet honestly. I really believe that EVERY city should invest in this. We as a culture have to be able to engage the next generation to tap into there gifts and talents. And what better way to do that by creating an environment that has resources to help them discover those gifts and talents. Kudos to UnitedHealth and the city of Savoy for leading the way is making our world a better place than we found it.
This place is so beautiful and peaceful. There is something for everyone. There is small Park for kids, lake for fishing , running trail, small hill. I love this place so beautiful views all the time.
