(from Google)Nice little park with great view of Lake Tahoe. Nice beach but we didn't go down to it. It was a February visit. The official parking lot is a two block walk from the park. We parked on the circle as we were only there for 15 minutes.
I saw a baby bear, butterflies, and even went to the lake and dipped my toes! In the afternoon the beach access has shade from the trees. It was only about a 10 minute walk from where we parked. I fell in love w this park. I’ll come back here every time
Skylandia is a great park and beach along the north shore of Lake Tahoe. There is a main area with a pier that allows for 2-3 groups deep in the sand, while the portion further west is narrower. There were folks swimming along the entire beach section, paddle boarding, and jumping from the pier. There is parking in the nearby neighborhood streets, and it is roughly ten minutes walking down to the beach. There are stairs, so it is not (easily) handicap accessible. There were several police offers nearby, but this was Saturday of a holiday weekend in July. Great spot!
Beautiful and relaxing . Be aware of the private property fencing and respect the homes there. Dog friendly some or most dogs off leash. Parking is very limited .
Easy walk to the lake. Such a wonderful little beach and pier. Parking is tight but theres a Lot just for the lake that makes it easier to access if you are driving there. The picnic tables are nice too.
