(from Google)I love this state park! The trails are well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. I also like how the yearly pass works. It’s dog-friendly, which I really appreciate. Bird watching is amazing here, especially in the mornings when birds stop to rest or drink water. 🤩
Great trails. Excellent tours. The staff is so helpful. A steal for a 5 dollar admission fee. A great vehicle is available for seniors with mobility issues.
I always enjoy walking this park. We didn't see a ton of birds but my cousin enjoyed her first trip to the park. Others would share what they had seen and we did find some of them.
Beautiful hidden gem on the south side of my hometown weslaco TX. If you are a bird lover this is the place to go. You will see a variety of amazing birds all at once while enjoying the beautiful scenery this park has to offer
October 29th 2025. Very nice park and the lady at the check in office was very nice and helpful. Thankfully I came on a cooler day because it was 100 degrees the day before and today was in the mid 70's when I got there early in the day. Lots to see and many very nice walking trails. The highlight for me was the HUGE alligator basking in the sun right next to the painfully obvious No Swimming sign.😆😆
