PetSmart Grooming

They do a good job on Buddy's nails!! Only costs $20!

My dog Griffin had an appt. for grooming on a Tuesday morning. I had been out of town for 2 weeks and when I got back I was very sick for another 2 weeks with a bad cold. So I hadn't been taking care of Griffin's coat. He's a golden doodle. He loves to be brushed and his coat is easy to brush out. Needless to say he did have some mats. During the initial appt I was called and told they couldn't finish his grooming due to a scab they hadn't seen prior. They rescheduled for Saturday to let the sore heal. I was fine with that. When I picked him up I was a bit upset as his tail had been partially shaved. Due to too much matting. If they had told me prior I might have brushed out those mats myself! The initial grooming took them 1 1/2 hours. On Saturday they called me 3 1/2 hours later. So the total grooming time 5 hours! They had no complaints of his behavior during the grooming process because he's always loves to be brushed and washed. They charged me for grinding his nails without checking with me prior. I will admit I just signed the paperwork without reading it first. But I was told by the manager they usually go over everything with the client prior. This time they did not do that. The place was a mess. There was dog hair all over the floor! An inch deep! It was disgusting. As I walked Griffin out to my car I stepped in some dog poop in the parking lot (not in the grass) right near my vehicle! It seems a dirty salon with unprofessional groomers trickles down all the way out to the parking lot! Be careful where you step! One parting comment. I was tempted to leave one star. However the store manager I believe her name was Chelsea tried to be of some kind of help. She was professional although she did not comp me anything off my invoice. I've worked as a management in customer services. It is a hard job. That being said this PetSmart is a total mess. I do not advise anyone to take their animal for grooming there.

Ash does a great job on our shepherd and chiwieenie! Highly recommend

There were 5 dead betta fish and the rest of them seemed to be very ill and their water was very dirty. Birds seemed to be distressed, one was shaking and has feathers plucked out. When we told the workers, they didn't seem to care. The store doesn't seem to care about their animals and lets them die, very disturbing for customers to see.

The staff is outstanding. My pet had an outstanding experience, and the staff went above and beyond. Next time I will take a picture
