My pup is anxious at the groomer and although he was still a bit nervous when I picked him up, he seemed a lot more relaxed than he usually is after grooming. The staff was so welcoming and took the time to get to know him and ask questions about his haircut (he’s a curly-haired poodle mix). His haircut was great and we will definitely be going back.

Our two year old Buddy is deaf and somewhat partly blind. The staff was wonderful with making arrangements for some meet and greet sessions. With time Buddy was able to warm up to the people, gain familiarity, confidence with the space and after a few visits he was jumping onto the table of his own free-will ready to go! He still gets nervous when his parents leave him but all the same, he knows he’s in good hands and will chill with the staff. Nowadays he has regular tidy services and looks like a NEW boy every time. We’re grateful to this team.

They botched my dogs groom. Horrible experience. Asked for a tidy and they complete cut off my golden’s mane and feathers! It will take a year to fully grow back. They cut off EVERYTHING. They are not trained to simply tidy goldens. Even worse, my 6 year old golden is terrified of the blow dryer to the point where he defecates. We discussed this 3 times and created a plan. They had us give him sedatives prior, and stated they would put him in a kennel with a dryer on him, I said if he was too scared, just let me know I’ll come get him. After I picked him up they charged me $15 more because he was “hard to work with” while blow drying. THEY WERENT SUPPOSED TO BLOW DRY HIM, we talked about this. She said “I have no notes of this.” We had been there 3 TIMES (a meet and greet, a groom, annd a nail trim) and had multiple conversations. I’m very upset and will not be going back. She even said “we don’t put dryer next to the kennels” which crazy because that’s what THEIR GROOMER OFFERED. This tells me that they will not be gentle with scared dogs, and merely continue regardless of plans in place or if the dog is in distress. Then they’ll charge you for it. If your dog is scared, do not go there. First photo is after, second is before. They cut him like a lab and took everything, without permission. And it’s not even, it’s just hacked with scissors everywhere.

Great groomer on the east side of Bend. My Golden Retriever is generally pretty anxious about grooming. The “no fear” approach was a big reason I chose to come here. Very happy I did. Groom looks amazing and my dog came back more relaxed than usual — a good sign for the overall experience.

Paws & Purrs has been a dreamy experience! Our girls are always frisky after their grooms and are always so happy to see their groomers. They are so professional, kind, and give our girls the best experience. We feel very lucky to have found Paws & Purrs!
