(from Google)My poor pup has a lot of anxiety and nervousness. She hates other dogs and being groomed but PetSmart somehow makes her feel good and comfy. I do wish they had more of a selection of skin treatments as I think she might actually be having an allergic reaction to the shampoo but, the staff is amazing there. I’m going to see if they’ll work with me on the shampoo cause my dog really likes it there.
I have 2 pups, one that is 4 years old & a senior dog (16) with arthritis that has gotten worse over time to where he now may need a little help standing while getting his nails trimmed b/c he slips on the floor unless its carpet. However, because he may not be able to stand on his own, they refused service. I've been going to petsmart since he was a puppy for grooming and still when he developed arthrits a couple years ago. I was here 2 weeks ago & the last groomer was a gentleman, very kind and let my dog lean on him while he trimmed his nails in case he needed support. Today there were 2 women & another man sweeping. One woman checked me in & the other woman went to take my senior dog. I gave her a heads up that he has arthritis & may slip, so he may need a little help. She then refused the service saying they couldn't service him if he cannot stand on his own. Then, they brought in a manager to see if it was in their policy to trim his nails if he is unable to stand on his own & the manager said it was up to their discretion, if they were comfortable. I could tell she did not want to do his nails, so I said that it was okay, that I'd just go somewhere else. They asked if I still wanted them to do my other pups nails & I said no, that it was okay, I'd just go somewhere else, I thanked them, said have a great day & left as to not create a scene and remain calm & kind. I am beyond disappointed with this grooming salon and will never be coming back here again, nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know. I've never had any issues w/him getting his nails done b/c of his arthritis until today. It's hard enough caring for and seeing your baby age and become fragile while learning to navigate all the unexpected changes that occur with an aging pup. But, it's another thing for your pup to all of a sudden be refused service because of something they cannot control and is simply due to him aging. Instead of being understanding and offering solutions, knowing he's a senior pup w/arthritis, they simply did not care or want to help.
Maria M did an awful job on my doodle. Service took over 5 hours , so we expected way more than what was received. They completely forgot his Add ons for his Spring Special Package, I had to go back in and ask for it. Upon picking up my dog, the groomer told us that he was cut shorter because of his matting. Understandable. But when I got home, I saw major irritation from cutting too close to his skin, Nails that were never cut in random spots, also supposed to be rounded out. Didn’t happen. His entire body is uneven, tail looks atrocious, and overall ruined his confidence. Cherry on the cake was that it costed nearly $140 for all of this. I trusted PetSmart for a reliable grooming service and was given what’s seemed to be the lady’s first day ever touching a dog. Never coming back!
Kaylee did such a great job with my Ollie and he was done pretty quick! Looking very handsome and happy coming out of his appointment! Kaylee was very kind and sweet and handled Ollie very well during his visit! I have an Aussiedoodle I usually prefer him shaved due to allergies and he has never looked more handsome and clean! Thank you to all the staff at the grooming salon! Ollie will be a repeat customer!
Ashley was great with my two pups! She even put little bows for my German shepherd (who is very difficult to groom)🤍🤍
