(from Google)Dr Mason and her staff are absolutely amazing! Brought my senior cat over from another vet who I was not happy with and Dr Mason did not disappoint! She thoroughly examined him suggested the tests that she would like to administer I approved and she prescribed supplements and special kidney food after finding out his kidney function wasn’t great . She also advised how to care for his ailment and he has improved ! Grateful for Dr. Mason and her staff extremely knowledgeable and caring!
Phenomenal service! We found Large lump on one of my little guys, obviously a terrifying experience for myself and my kids. We were able to get in quickly! Dr. Mason did a needle biopsy and luckily it was found to be benign. I have seen some reviews on here that state that unnecessary services were pushed on people. I find that very difficult to believe as that was not my experience at all and not just that one time either. My mom brought her cat in here, he suffers from feline aids, my mom actually requested another test for feline AIDS, thinking it could tell her what “stage” the disease was in. Dr. Mason explained to her that that would not tell them anything and it would be unnecessary. I am happy to have such a great veterinary team so close to home in Chester!
Our lab has been coming here for a few years and we started out with positive experiences but lately they have let us down time and time again. Last week we reached out hoping to get our sick dog an appointment and the soonest we could be seen was 3 weeks away. Obviously that was disappointing because no one wants their fur baby to be in misery for that length of time. However, we were assured that everyday from 3-4pm they do urgent care appointments and if we call when they open they will do what they can to get our dog seen during that time slot. Well I have called everyday this week and each time was told we couldn't be seen and to try again the next day. One morning we were told they weren't taking any appointments because they were doing an emergency surgery during that time slot. Okay fine, I'll try again tomorrow morning. Next morning comes and I'm told they're already booked. Okay fine, I'll try again tomorrow morning. Each day I called the minute they opened and each time I was turned down. Now it's Thursday morning and once again I'm told no. I explained my concerns and frustration because each day that goes by my fur baby has gotten worse and each day I'm turned away. So the front desk said they would talk to the doctor and call me back. I'm thinking, finally, they'll figure out a way to see us. A couple hours later I get a call saying that I just need to take him to an emergency vet. As if everyone has the extra money to pay for a place like that. That's the whole point in having a regular vet, so that you have a place to take them for checkups and sick visits. So then I ask if I can try again tomorrow (Friday) morning to get in the urgent care time slot and I was told no because the doctor is only working a half day tomorrow. The people there are nice but that doesn't matter when they can't make the time to see you. And this isn't the first time we've had this much trouble being seen. They either need to hire more doctors or stop taking on patients, especially when you can't find the time to take care of your regular long-time patients. Needless to say, we've started looking for another vet.
On 11/18th my best friend needed to see a vet. I thought he just had a stomach bug or he had an obstruction at worst. My DIL recommended Whiskers and Wags. They immediately took him in, something his prior vet wouldn't do regardless of the issue without an appointment. The compassion every single person in this vet gave me on what became the worst day of my life cannot and will never be forgotten. The care and tenderness shown toward my best friend was greater then a vet who saw him regularly since he was a pup. Each person was professional and knowledgeable with my questions and patient enough to reexplain to my son. I will recommend whiskers and wags from the highest mountain tops to anyone in search of an overall well rounded vet for their best friends. They will truly care about your fur baby and not just the dollar.
I brought my last Maltese in to be groomed by Stacee and once I got my new Maltese Gigi I brought her in to use the. Vet services and the grooming services. Dr. Mason is just wonderful and caring! There are so many great people working at this office! Everyone I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable and they went out of their way to make my little Maltese comfortable. Gigi was seen for her vaccinations, and Dr. Mason did her Spay. It was a wonderful experience. Gigi came home from having surgery groggy but otherwise she seemed perfectly fine. She never seemed to suffer with pain, and healed beautifully. She was ready to “rock n roll” before I was ready to let her! I truly appreciate how kind and caring everyone here is. Thank you for the wonderful care you provided to Gigi!
