(from Google)I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Vetco through Petco. In early 2025, I brought my first dog to the Allen location under the clear impression that the initial visit was free, as advertised. Instead, the front desk charged me for a complete package. I was upset but paid the large bill at the time. Recently, after purchasing a new puppy, I received a “free first exam” offer with my delivery order. I scheduled an appointment at the Frisco location, only to receive an unpleasant voicemail from Alec stating the visit would not be free because I had already used one — for a completely different pet. I called back to clarify, explaining that I was never given a free visit previously and had actually been charged. This experience made it clear that Vetco and Petco appear more concerned with money than with the well-being of pets or customer trust. I canceled the appointment and will not be returning. My pets deserve better care and transparency.
The Petco grooming center in Frisco on Eldorado is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. The staff are very well trained and listen to your grooming requests carefully. Both of my dogs love going there.
Vicki did an amazing job grooming my dogs. From start to finish, she was professional, patient, and clearly very experienced. She took the time to make sure each dog was comfortable and handled them with so much care and attention, which really put me at ease. Their coats came out clean, soft, and perfectly groomed, and you can tell she pays attention to the little details. Not only did they look great, but they also seemed calm and happy afterward, which says a lot about how well she works with animals. It’s clear that Vicki genuinely loves what she does and treats every dog like her own. I’m extremely happy with the results and will absolutely continue bringing my dogs to her. Highly recommend Vicki to anyone looking for a groomer they can truly trust.
Not that they didn’t do a good job, but asking for a tip before you’ve even seen your pet, to determine if they’ve done a job worthy of a tip, is not a good practice. It puts the patron “on the spot” when you don’t know their financial situation. The service alone is expensive enough, allow the patron to decide whether or not to tip, in private.
Emily is a great groomer. She always listens to my requests and takes excellent care of Flynn. We've had multiple groomers at Petco and we have never been dissatisfied.
