Pets Plus - Lawrenceville

It's nice to have a local shop, but this store is only okay. It seems mostly focused on dogs; they also sell small pets and fish, and the products associated with those animals. The cat product selection is kind of a joke. The guy in charge seems to think he knows a lot about nutrition, but most of the food brands are boutique. I'll pop in for litter, but they just don't provide things I need for my animals.

I've been going to this pet store since 2016 when I moved to Lawrenceville and I've always loved the convenience of it because it is right up the street. For the past year we've been going regularly because we set up an aquarium and we bought all the stuff for it and we go there to get the food and I've never had a problem there until recently. I think that he must be the owner or the manager, but he has become incredibly rude. He treats customers terribly and he treats his associates even worse. We bought a fish tank from there and we went to set it up the next morning and noticed there was a big crack in it so we had to go back to return it. The manager said very rudely" we don't return fish tanks and it says so right on the receipt" one of the associates there whom is incredibly nice offered to help carry it to the car and the manager said we don't do that for customers. I will NEVER go back to this store. The way the manager was treating me is inexcusable. He was so rude. Now I will go out of my way to go to a different pet store.

This location is very convenient for me to shop…I can say I never have no flaws at all. I take my frenchie there for grooming and always have a good experience. I’m assuming he is the manager always assisting me at the register giving me great customer service! I’m not gonna keep this one out…he slightly says things about the products there (good things) lol and it makes my wife buy unnecessary toys for our dog😂🤣 she is the boss so no complaints from me🤣😂 overall great place of price and socializing.

Has a lot of what you'll need but no frills staff. The guy that grows his frogbit is nice and knowledgeable but others just go through the motions to get you out of the store. No suggestions. No upselling..... And Internet signal sucks so most times you can't research what you need to in order to make the selections you would like....ie spend more money lol so if you're looking to run in and out, they got you.

They stock only the largest sizes of everything attempting to force customers to spend more in the store. The loose dog bones/chews/rawhides are infested with tiny black bugs. The rabbits have fleas. They do not remove dead fish from the tanks. There are carcasses in almost every fish tank. The zesty pierced guy told me to call ahead for things so they can be brought from the back due to their stock issues. Pets Plus reputation is abhorrent as it is. This location in particular will show you why.
