PetSmart Grooming

The groomer here is super rude. First time customer and was turned off by the atmosphere and the groomer. Hope it was just a bad day for her, but if the customer service is any indication of quality, paying them for a service is a hard NO for me.

Caroline and Sadie (Mersadies) at the Lee’s Summit PetSmart grooming salon are truly amazing. Sadie is wonderful with my dog Cain — he always comes home clean, soft, happy, and clearly very loved. Caroline is so gentle and patient, especially with my fear-reactive dog Pedro Potato. She takes her time, lets him get comfortable, and does a fantastic job on both Pedro and Friendly Fred. They even make special bandanas for my babies, which is the sweetest touch. I’m so grateful we found them both! 💙🐾 Thank you, Sadie and Caroline!

I still don't know how this place still open with such lack of management, Heather the manager. So it says on petsmart policy that they do price match, So I found the same product online for a Seresto Dog Collar, the manager said she could only do 50% off i said Ok no problem but than she said she has the right to refuse price match if she wants because she couldn't find online so I got her phone showed to her she saw on her phone and then she refused to do price match... This is insane, if they don't do what their policies said imagine what they can do when you bring a dog to this place. Stay way from this petsmart and from the manager Heather... I wish I could do zero STAR....

I took my puppy to be groomed for the second time, the first one was at the PetSmart in Independence. I was informed that Hannah didn’t feel comfortable grooming her because she was wiggly, as most puppies are. All they could do was a bath and blow dry, for which they charged me $35. I called to talk to Pam, the grooming manager but she wasn’t there. I left a detailed message and asked the lady who took the message to have her call me. No return phone call. Crickets. I went in a week or so later to talk to Pam, but again she wasn’t there. I explained the situation again to the lady at the counter and asked for Pam to call me back. Again, no return phone call. Crickets. I called again today and what do you know…Pam wasn’t there again! I talked to Heather, a store manager, and explained the situation again. I told her that I would like my money back because they weren’t able to groom her. Heather told me that I couldn’t get a refund because she got a bath and a blow dry (which I can do by myself at home for free). I explained that my puppy has had two grooming appointments, one before and one after, with no problems. Heather suggested I take her back to one of them. I will never use the Lee’s Summit PetSmart for my puppy’s grooming needs. Maybe they need to hire groomers that are able to groom wiggly puppies or else decline to make appointments for them. I’m very disappointed with their grooming department and their apparent lack of even the basic consideration to return the phone call of a customer.
