Rama is triggered by the words clip, cut, nails. If you look at his feet to long he will run away and hide in the closet. Sedation drugs do nothing. Recently his nails had gotten so long he was licking his paws raw. I raised this dog on a strong bond and foundation of trust. As he has grown we have struggled more and more to keep his nails under control. Pushing him myself was violating his trust in our relationship. I took Rama into see mark expecting to pass him off and maybe get one paw finished. I left with a dog who’s nails were touching the ground. During the process mark had a calm and confident approach. He observed Ramas comfort level and responded with respect. When Rama got upset or struggled. Very calmly mark would let Rama have his experience and remind him nothing was going to hurt him. Mark truly meet Rama where he was at and it is absolutely the reason we were able to leave there with all nails trimmed. Easily the most stress free nail trim of our lives and it feels like we can start working towards a life where Ramas is more comfortable getting his needs meet. THANK YOU to everyone at oh paws. The work y'all are doing is making such a difference in the life’s of this cities k9 population.

My vet recommended Oh Paws to me after several failed nail trim attempts with them and I am so happy they did! Sydney did such an amazing job with my pup! I used to dread nail trims but they truly make it a painless experience.... my sassy pup was calm the entire time and looked adorable in the little sling :) I was truly shocked. 10/10 would recommend!!

Took are easily spooked (sometimes crazy) chiweenie rescue who absolutely hates any sort of tool to Mark and he was fantastic. You can tell how much experience that he has. We were surprised that he was able to trim every single nail on our very first visit! Thank you, Mark! 1000% recommend.

Mark and Sydney are SIMPLY THE BEST!! My Chihuahua Nina experienced trauma from nail clippings as a pup and was so aggressive about nail trimmings that no groomer in town would take her and we were banned from 2 places because of her aggressive behavior. Mark was so patient and worked with us on a regiment of monthly trimmings that were slow, cautious and very gentle until Nina became accustom to the experience. Now she’s a pro at hanging out, fully relaxed in the grooming sling and allows either Mark or Sydney to trim all 4 paws in pure comfort and with no bad reaction. Don’t even pause - just book with Oh Paws!! (Ha! I did NOT just write that!! 😝) Seriously, they are amazing!! Thank you Mark and Sydney!!

I cannot say enough good things about Mark! My elderly dog has become really sensitive about his nails as he ages, and after some bad experiences. He would panic when a groomer tried to do them, and he was becoming increasingly scared when I tried to do them at home. I was feeling so stressed about his lengthening nails, but it seemed everyone's solution was to slap a muzzle on him, sedate him, manhandle him, hold him down.. I just knew in my heart that wasn't the right way. It only made him more scared, and it got worse and worse every time because he wasn't being shown it didn't have to be scary. Mark had us come in for a free meet and greet visit, and I was immediately impressed with his skill and ability to really read and understand dog behavior. He knew exactly the way to handle my fearful but sweet old dog to keep him feeling safe. I'll admit that I cried with relief on the way home, knowing that there was a solution to get his feet feeling better, and feeling like I'd finally found someone who understands my dog. We just had our first full trim today, and I was just as blown away as at our meet and greet. Although still a bit nervous, Remi was even more comfortable this time, and Mark was able to get all 4 feet done beautifully, with the least amount of stress possible. He's already moving and feeling better, and I'm just thrilled, relieved, and impressed all around. If you have a sensitive dog who struggles with their feet, save yourself some stress and just come to Mark!
