The Cat's Meow Grooming & Suites

We are so heartbroken to be moving away from Cats Meow. They have groomed Juice 5-6 times over the past 2.5 years and they are the best. Everytime we go in they tell us how sweet Juice is. Juice has a fine long coat that gets matted VERY easily and they do a great job de shedding/ giving him a plush-like cut. Depending on his condition/type cut they are able to do, he gets: nail trim, sanitary trim, plush cut, and a bath for around $160-$180.

We have taken our cat here since we first adopted her and they have been wonderful with ensuring her happiness and comfortability both when groomed and boarding. Absolutely recommend!!!

I cannot recommend this place for grooming enough. Having been in the pet care industry as a dog trainer for many years, and having owned cats, dogs, and a rabbit, I'm fairly well-versed and very selective about pet care providers. It's as important to me that they're competent and skilled AND that they can communicate effectively and treat me with respect--something that is all too lacking in a lot of pet grooming and veterinary practices. Not here though. They have a process to screen incoming clients and make sure we're a good fit for each other. They also work with me to make sure we have a plan and schedule that helps support our cat's skin and coat health. And they take the time to explain things and answer questions. As the first-time owner of a long-haired cat there was a lot I didn't know about the proper at-home grooming tools and professional grooming services but they never made me feel bad about that. My cat is a bit of a handful--she's strong and strong-willed when it comes to being turned onto her side. At one point, we watched two vet techs at a vet appointment pin her on her side on a table in order to trim her nails. Our girl looked absolutely terrified and who wouldn't be? In addition to doing nail trims at home from then on, we also decided that we had to find a competent groomer that was committed to respectful, low-stress, cat-friendly handling. I probably drive past 30 more conveniently-located grooming facilities on my way from the Anoka area to Richfield, where The Cat's Meow is located. But it's worth it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a really cute little shop, so even if you aren't bringing your cat in for a grooming or boarding experience, you can shop the merchandise for yourself and other cat-lovers, and be sure to pick up one of the grooming brushes they stock. I've never seen these carried in stores or by online pet suppliers but they're incredible. This magic brush helped our girl enjoy being brushed again and it really helps with de-shedding. And it's not just for long-haired cats. It's also been great for our 20-year old DSH tortie as her coat and ability to groom herself has changed with her advanced age. The brush, with rotating teeth, pulls a LOT of undercoat off of her, smoothing her out, improving her coat health, and helping her feel better.

I cannot tell you how happy I am I found this place!! Jennifer and the staff~ Absolutely amazing people💕💕💕Ivan my Sphynx has very sensitive skin. Jennifer takes her time and is so patient with him and takes special care of him. What I LOVE about “The Cat’s Meow” is they pay attention to the cats. They pay attention to how the cats are feeling, if the cats are feeling anxious~They will STOP if they feel the cat(s) are uncomfortable. I love how they take that so seriously~ My Ivan has a long way to go, but I am so glad he’s going to an amazing place that loves him and takes such amazing care of him ;) His last appointment/bath he got sparking green nail covers ;) Thanks so much Jennifer and all! Setting up the initial consultation was easy and booking the follow up grooming session was also easy. The staff is knowledgeable and responsive to my questions. I felt comfortable taking my cat here to be groomed. I will continue to use them as long as they offer their services!
