I would like to share our story about our dog Bella Rose. Bella Rose has been seen at Pavilion Crossing since we moved to Riverview three years ago. Bella was a 13 years old lab/hound mix that my wife adopted from the Humane Society. She started to have issues with eating and not being able to hold it down. She started to lose a lot of weight and during a visit few weeks ago we were told she had swollen lymph nodes. We made a decision that was very hard for our family but was best for our baby. The staff at Pavilion took such good care of Bella and us. Many thanks go out to them for their compassion and caring.

I have to tell you.I had an accident with my beautiful coney corso puppy of nine months. She chased the raccoon at a park underneath the trailer. And bashed her head against the bottom of the trailer gashing, her eye, pretty dang, bad, I was panicking. I called around to a couple of places, but they were very cold. And all they were doing was trying to get money more money, more money. You could feel it. Then, i'm called this place. They took her in immediately.I sat there and waited. They were so busy in the back, but yet they had time to help a very hurt puppy. Those are the people that you want working on your children when in time of need for my baby girl is my daughter. Definitely not an animal to me. I thank you for your great work. And your friendly staff.

I brought my dog in for a routine appointment for a health certificate and a nail trim. At the beginning, everything seemed normal. While I was in the room during the visit, I could hear my dog crying desperately from the room next door. At the moment, I did not think something serious was happening, so I trusted the staff and left the clinic as usual once the appointment was over. After arriving home, I continued working normally. However, my dog kept crying, which was unusual. When I picked him up to check on him, that is when I noticed bruising and swelling near his eye, which had absolutely not been there before the appointment. I immediately called the clinic. From the start, the response felt rushed and uninterested, as if they were in a hurry. I was told that if I wanted my dog to be seen, I had to return before 6 PM, otherwise they would not be able to help. Because of this, I had to rush back to the clinic. When I arrived, I was placed in a room. Thankfully, Tatiana was there. She told me she had already spoken with the doctor and was the only person who treated Mango with patience, empathy, and professionalism. I truly felt she knew how to handle him and cared about his well-being. Without her, the situation would have been much worse. Despite this, I was told that I would need to pay for eye drops related to the injury. I refused, because this was not due to my negligence, and it did not feel fair to be charged for something that appeared immediately after the visit. After that, another staff member — who appeared to be the same person who handled my dog earlier — came in and suggested that maybe my dog hit himself on the way home or bumped into the couch. This explanation was extremely upsetting and dismissive. My dog has never injured himself on furniture, and the injury appeared right after the appointment. What hurt the most was being blamed, instead of being met with concern or empathy. Throughout all of this, I could still hear my dog crying, which was heartbreaking. The veterinarian never came out to speak with me or take accountability, as he was on a call. This made me feel completely dismissed during a very stressful moment as a pet owner. This experience left me feeling unheard, blamed, and emotionally distressed. The only reason I still have any trust in this clinic is because of Tatiana, who truly stepped up, handled the situation with care, and showed what proper treatment and compassion should look like. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this clinic.

I just left this veterinary office extremely upset. While the staff is extremely kind I drove 45 minutes for a consult to spay my dog due to their website promoting “affordable spay and neutering” my dog is healthy with no health issues. I then had to pay $109 just to be seen and get a preop heart worm scan even though she is on and has always been on heart worm prevention. I agreed and went through with it as I just wanted to take care of my dog and get her spay done asap. Just to then be quoted $934. My dog is 17 pounds. If that is their pricing they should not promote “affordable spay and neutering” as almost $1,034 for a small breed spay is far from affordable. Highly disappointed.

UPDATED REVIEW: I’ve only been to this place once to get an anal gland cleaning for my dog and it was a good experience but my second experience was the complete opposite. My other dog was dehydrated and losing weight so we took her in and check in was a breeze so one star for that but after that, it was just what they could find to charge us. Just as the other reviews stated, they recommended unnecessary x-rays and I could see why as it was $500 for the CONSULT and X-rays. I was appalled. We eventually found the root cause and got her meds and we were on our way home and our dog was feeling better but they wanted to keep monitoring her for the next 3 days and we said fine but didn’t know until the next day of dropping her off that it was an extra $500 per day just to drop her off. After paying $1,000+ for the initial visit that was supposed to be $45, we declined quickly and took our dog back home. This place is definitely worst than Banfield. I would not return as they are just trying to find ways to milk you for your money. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Please stay away! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've always seen this place when I come to Publix since it's close to me but since I have a monthly plan with Banfield at Petsmart, I didn't really have a use to go to this place and that was until today. Banfield was busy and didn't notify us that they don't do anal glands expressions after 5pm so we left but needed the service for my dog so I called this place at 5:15pm and we were able to be seen at 6pm! Everything total took 15 minutes, that includes me being a first timer there filling out paperwork. Once I was done, they took my dog back and did the service then and there and brought her back out to me. The staff was very friendly and courteous and had me checked out and ready to go. I'm sure if I had been there before, it would've taken 5 minutes total. This place has me really considering leaving Banfield for as they have their own monthly plans as well AND it's closer and more personal as Banfield has become a nightmare. I highly recommend this place as it is more affordable and friendly than Banfield.
