So I am extremely upset with my experience with Meowser. I had brought my 8 year old cat Everest here 6 months ago with a lot of mats and they had done an exceptional job dematting him and bathing him so I wanted to go back. Unfortunately at the 4 month mark I wasn't able to make my appointment due to a family emergency, and the mats started really coming back by the 5 month mark, but due to scheduling circumstances on their end, couldn't get him back until the 6 month mark. I had done as much as I could to get the majority of mats out, but he really won't let me work on his rear or underside so I brought him back. I specifically said I wanted the same thing as last time and NO LION CUT. I got a call an hour after I dropped him off yesterday saying that the only place he wasn't matted was the middle of his back. The lady on the phone basically told me he needed a lion cut, to which I said NO. She was very persistent though telling me that it would be "cruel" to tug at those mats "for hours", even though for 8 years grooming him I have never been told that before from anybody and from what I had felt before dropping him off, it didn't seem like it was nearly as bad as last time or as bad as she was telling me. She ultimately asked me why not to a lion cut to which I said I didn't like the look of it, but I forgot to mention that I am also worried about many more things like him getting cold, his colors and fur not growing back the same (He is a Himalayan and I've heard the points can come back differently), his reaction to a shaver etc. Ultimately I felt manipulated because she said not doing a lion cut would be cruel to his mental health and so I very reluctantly agreed. I should have just gone and picked him up immediately and done the rest myself. It is so patchy and doesn't look professional at all. I feel so awful putting my sweet beautiful baby through all this to come out looking awful. I never go to a service place and don't leave a tip, but this manipulation tactic ultimately cost me more than my last appointment, has me feeling very upset ,and ultimately I did not leave a tip. Given this woman has told me that she recently had an employee quit on her and suggested when I dropped him off that the afternoon kitties were being very difficult, I personally believe she was ultimately just being lazy and didn't want to have to deal with dematting a difficult cat (even though that's exactly what her business does, cat grooming...) and tried to manipulate me so she could take the easy way out while also charging me a higher cost. I know ultimately this is my fault, I should have stuck with my guns and said no and just gone to pick him up after she told me she wouldn't do the dematting. But ultimately this is a review about Meowser, and I was very unhappy with the service and the way in which I felt manipulated into him getting a cut I didn't want and don't feel like he needed and the patchy unprofessional work just makes it even worse. Overall I would never return to meowser after this, and would suggest others stay far away from this place. The attached pictures are from right before and after the grooming, his hair didn't seem THAT overly matted... I'm just glad at least they didn't cut him.

This was my cat’s first grooming appointment, and Sabrina was amazing with him. She was patient, gentle, and clearly took great care of him. I really appreciated how communicative she was with me to make sure his cut got done the way I wanted. He had many knots and needed a buzz on his coat and it turned out great! Highly recommend!!!

Above and beyond for first-timers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am beyond happy with how both me and my 'babygirl' were taken care of at Meowsers Pet Salon! This was the first time I had ever gotten my 2-year-old cat groomed, so we were both feeling a little nervous. From start to finish, the team was absolutely understanding and patient with her. They handled her nerves with so much grace and made me feel at ease, too. When I picked her up, I was blown away-she was beautiful before, but now she has the most amazing haircut! She looks and feels incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Meowsers! ❤

My Polly is an incredibly anxious cat, who is 11 years old and has never been groomed before! They did a great job giving her the cutest lion cut since she had some matting near her hind legs. From what I can tell, Polly was treated very well during her groom and they were great at communicating with me when her groom took a little longer than expected!! All in all, it was a great experience for me and I am very happy with Polly’s hair cut.

My Keiko is a 25 pound Ragdoll. He gets incredibly fluffy which I can tell gets him more lazy because he is so much heavier with so much fur. We don’t have too much trouble with mats because I brushed him quite frequently, but he still needs a good shave, bath, and nail trimming at least every six weeks. As I said, he is a big cat! And I have been to this pet salon at least three times maybe more… And each time he has come out looking perfect and while not happy….He’s not traumatized. They do a great job, the price is good for all the do. And the people are very friendly!
