Hair of the Dog Pet Grooming

Hair Of The Dog is the best! Took our shepherds in yesterday and as always they did a fantastic job. The pups always smell soooo good and have so much less shedding afterwards. The staff is friendly and even though our dogs can be little stinkers at times, they truly seem to love them. Highly recommend!

Valerie did a fantastic job with my cat. He is a shy cat & this was his first grooming. He tolerated it well. What a huge difference in his coat! I'm so glad I found a place to take care of his grooming needs. The facility was clean, smelled nice, & all staff were friendly & professional 5 stars!

Nice experience here. $20 to trim my chihuahua's nails. We were in and out in less than 10 mins. Very efficient!

This is a long review because grooming is such a. Personal important thing for your pup. We take our sweet pup Rye here and have been since last November. We have a doodle and I will say a few things before I start this review. Lots of groomers in Santa Rosa don't event accept doodles anymore and I understand why. its important to note We try our best to comb our pup out through the week, we keep her short and we groom every 4-5 weeks (most of the time). With that being said, the groomers here don't rush, they take their time and they do such a good job. One of the things I love and appreciate is the consistency. Our pup comes home always looking the same as she did before. This is huge for us because sowmtimes groomers tend to be really inconsistent depending on who is doing the grooming. They are responsive which I really appreciate. Their prices are fair and in line with the average here in Santa Rosa. Our cost is close to $140 and our dog is approximately 25 pound, mini doodle and we usually add in teeth brushing. When we first brought our pup in she was suffering from allergies and her cost was really inconsistent all over. They kept in touch with me during the appointment and recommended we go shorter so her coat looked a bit more uniform and they were right. Wr got her allergies under control and her coat grew in so much better. Note, they get very busy and weekends are booked approx 6 weeks out. We just booked our next three appointments to ensure we can keep a good schedule. We can't recommend this place enough!!

We love this place. When I first called, I explained to Amy that Carly, our 10-1/2 CH Smooth Collie, has some osteoarthritis in her back and a previous rear paw injury from playing at the dog park. She attentively listened to our concerns. Now, we take Carly here every 3-4 weeks to get her nails dremeled and we are very pleased with the results. This week we were invited to close friends’ for Thanksgiving Day. Our tub needs a plumber and we can’t fit a Collie into the shower. Well, I was sure Hair of the Dog was probably booked solid for the holidays. However Amy found a slot to fit Carly in for a bath, blow dry, nails and ears. She looked perfect in 1-1/2 hours, slept the way home, and is ready to travel with us on Thursday. It is wonderful to find a trustworthy groomer with whom to trust with your beloved pet.
