Louis F Garland (DoD) Fire Academy

From May through August 2006, I had the privilege of attending the LFG Training Academy, which set a strong foundation for my fire service career. All the instructors were top notch and knew how to get the best from their trainees. During that time, I was able to observe the Sam Squad training and gained valuable exposure to the culture and discipline of the job. Living in the dorms and sharing meals helped build camaraderie, and—back then—Graham Central Station was still in full swing, adding to the experience.

Graduated Oct 2002. It was tough than.

Awesome establishment. Well ran. Super smart and sharp Marine Corps instructors. Fire and Rescue education second to none. State of the art resources and equipment. The Marines there are definitely deserving of being called Crash Crews finest

Phenomenal experience!
