I had the most wonderful experience at the Condado Vanderbilt! The area is absolutely stunning and filled with joy, offering spectacular views that truly take your breath away. The hospitality was exceptional, and the room service was top-notch—everything you could hope for in a resort experience. One fantastic tip I learned: it’s much cheaper to call directly for bookings rather than booking online. Trust me, you’ll save a good amount! The beach is simply lovely—bright, clean, and inviting—with excellent beach service to enhance your relaxation. I also explored various dining options and was thrilled to discover that Vanderbilt has opened a new steakhouse called STK. The steaks are impressively large and reasonably priced! Although some dining options within the hotel can be on the pricier side, the quality of food and service is outstanding, with freshly prepared meals that you won’t want to miss. Be sure to try the coconut bread—it's a morning must-have! For those looking to save a bit, I’ve shared my personal reviews and recommendations on great local spots for delicious red snapper and authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Don’t miss the chance to visit Old San Juan for some fun at the beach; it’s an adventure waiting for you, and you can easily find water sports like jet skiing at affordable prices. Enjoy!
May 2023. Really strong currents. Small beach. Sand is not so clean but the beach is right in front of many hotels and restaurants. Plenty of opportunity to rent chairs and umbrellas.
2/11/23 Strong current but okay for strong swimmers. Elderly may want a different beach if swimming. I'm 61 years old, strong swimmer and the surf ruffed me up a good a few times. 😅
My favourite beach and if you love big waves this is for you. Great vibe, close to everything and friendly. Though beware if not so good swimmer or w/children due to strong current. Great for boogie boards. Try near sunset for an added adventure.
