Where to even begin. We got our dog spayed on a Friday and then she was having complications Sunday so we took her to the emergency vet because we weren’t sure why she acting the way she was. Tell me why they said the first time “it’s going to be $1300 to do these things” okay so we paid the $1300 and then they say we needed pay $2500. So they told us she was going to need to stay the night. WITH NO EXPLANATION OF WHY OR WHAT WAS CAUSING HER TO ACT THE WAY SHE WAS. so we let her stay the night and this was when everything went wrong. We had called around 9:30 or so because we were told they were going to do X-rays at 9. So we tried to call to check on our dog and tell me why, we called them multiple different times on multiple different devices and were put on hold everytime for over 40 min with each phone call. Next we get a call from the vet at 12 in the morning telling us some things about our dog and what he’s found from the xrays. Well we hang up with him and then we forgot to ask about the dogs most recent bowel movement. Simple question right? Not for legacy. They put us on hold again. 1:30 in the morning we were on wait for 20+ minutes. Anyway they finally pick up the phone and they immediately start telling us we need to pay them another $950 for something. And that’s all they were worried about was the money we were going to send them. They didn’t tell us about the bowel movement, didn’t say what the payment was for or anything. So right then and there we decided we would go pick her up. $4500 later and no answer about what’s wrong with her. When we go to pick her up they gave us a refund, which was helpful but still. $3500 for this dog to be bouncing off the walls and acting like everything was fine. She ended up with a little bit of acid reflux and that was it. But vets like this one and the people that work there have no reason to be in the field they are in. Charging people that amount of money bc of greed instead of getting the dog fixed. Terrible vet. Your better off driving to Andrews from what we’ve been told.

my experience was great. the young lady running the front desk stayed calm even though i came in a hot mess. they got us checked in quickly. gave us the paperwork, and took our dog straight to the back. the tech who helped us was great. she was informative and made both my husband and me feel much more secure about everything that was happening. she brought us two different price points explained each one in detail and made sure we understood all of our options which gave us a lot of comfort during a stressful time. when it was time to check out i found out she was the manager. that made me respect her even more. she wasn’t just managing she was right there in the middle of it helping patients and owners and making a scary situation feel manageable. after reading the reviews i was hesitant but after our experience i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them

Love this place. Our German shepherd had eaten a copper compression sock and we decided to take her in after a while of not being able to keep food or liquid down. The staff from the get go were phenomenal, extremely caring, and helpful. Amazing service, when we had to leave her overnight they gave us a diagnosis (a blockage in intestine/stomach) and were able to rush her into surgery. Not only that, every time we called for an update or question they were more than willing to help us out, they were real over communicators. They kept her, monitored her, and made sure she was as comfortable as possible until she was healthy enough to come back home. They were truly our best bet to take anywhere in west Texas. Extremely thankful for the staff here

Had to rush my baby boy here after work. My pup is usually nervous at the vet, and I haven’t spent a night away from him in years. I opted to let them keep him overnight for treatment and observation, which they did not influence me to do at all they gave me a much cheaper “take him home tonight” option. His symptoms scared me quite a bit so I thought it would be best for him to stay. When I asked if I could see him before I left, he was wagging his tail and looked happy with the vet tech and listened to her when she said it was time to go back, which put me much more at ease. While I was in a waiting room, I heard them performing CPR on a pup, and also heard them lose the pup and notify the owner which was extremely heartbreaking. Very pleased with the way my pup was cared for and how professional, kind, communicative and courteous the staff remained, despite what they are dealing with, including customers. I raised my first dog from a pup to 16 years old, and now my current pup is about to turn 6 so in my opinion, this ER vet is not overpriced. I payed much less than I was expecting for an overnight stay, and my pups insurance reimbursed 80% of it anyway. It’s been a week since my visit, and my pup is doing great. I appreciate it very much.

Came with an “emergency” with my dog. It was just a bad broken nail and really not an emergency, but wouldn’t stop bleeding and dog was in a lot of pain. Being the only 24hr place in Midland, of course it was busy with other animals that had issues more severe than what my dog was going through. The nurse was so nice and explained that it might be awhile, which was understandable. I was expecting a hefty bill for the treatment, but it was the exact opposite. I’m glad I brought dog in that night cause he received some excellent care/treatment. The bandaging was very clean work and props to whoever was involved with it. You can tell everyone that works here loves animals. Everything for aftercare was explained clearly and dog was happy! Thank you Legacy Animal Hospital 😁
