DNRT Destruction Brook Woods

A very nice and peaceful walking trail. Nice and cool! My dog loves going for walks here!

I loved it. Well marked but I still follow the all trails app since I did come across 3 different trails, plus there were some unmarked trails that I'm sure with experience it will be nice to go thru also.

Such a beautiful, woodsy, and very OLD place to visit. The air is so fresh, the trees are very tall, and you can smell the Sasaphras & Honeysuckle in the air as you walk along the trails. It is very large, so be sure to follow the markers on the trees. I LOVE Dartmouth, and miss living there, but I'm so happy they created an organization like DNRT for people to enjoy! ...So many acres of trails in which to choose!

I love Destruction Brook, great casual place to hike or bike. The lesser used trails are in need of some attention as the recent rain has caused some new "water crossings" 😂 The dog situation can get frustrating too. So many people will leave their dog poop either right on trail or in a bag off to the side. I've had a few run in with off leash dogs that don't listen to their owners, too.

Nicely maintained trails, not terribly crowded during the week. Most visitors have good dog trail etiquette, and more on leash than not. Trails clearly marked, varying terrain. Small kids? I wouldn't. Wear appropriate footwear, bug spray, and enjoy.
