(from Google)The winter dog park is great. It’s pretty wide open and full of sand so in the winter you don’t need to worry about the mud as much. Usually a good number of dogs on dry days.
Zero amenities- no water, no lights, and low fences that medium to large dogs can jump over. BUT, in heavy rains there is nothing as good as this park. It is deep sand on a slope so it stays dry and never muddy. Was only slushy one time after the ice storm when all the snow melted. Big enough for a long chuckit throw fetch game and big dogs to run.
Parking was easy and not too long of a walk to get to the fully fenced area. It's sandy which is great for keeping the mud at bay. There's a picnic table and also a few chairs. I went pre-noon on a Monday and there were two other friendly dogs. I wish I had time to explore more of the park!
Love this park! So much to see, do and explore. Lots of walking trails, tennis, picleball, baseball. A Great playground, dog park, Skatepark and it's right across the street from Laughing Planet and FroYo for snacks if you need!
Today was our first day to this dog park. My dog Bella and I were pleasantly surprised. It is nestled in a very peaceful and serene location. No heavy traffic and noise pollution surrounding the dog park. The park itself is large and well gated and fenced. The most awesome feature is the the dog park grounds are sand which in the winter is great as there is no mud that covers your best friend as they play. In addition your footwear also stays clean. The park is clean and people bring water jugs for your thirsty dog to drink. The community of dog owners that I met at the park were very friendly as were the dogs. This is a great dog park. I appreciate the community for keeping this dog park clean and safe for all of our dogs and people to enjoy.
