I have a new puppy which in and of itself is challenge enough! However Tove seemed to be a special case, she is a combination of extremely hyper and high strung while at the same time incredibly skittish and shy. Having adopted her right at 8 weeks as a rescue I figured this might be some latent trauma she would hopefully outgrow. At 4 months I knew I had my hands full and reached out to Nicky with Tamed Canine Dog Training, who had come highly recommended, for help. Unfortunately I lived out of state and was unable to travel with Tove to her personally. Despite the “distance training” Nicky was able to provide me with the tools and knowledge to help me understand Tove’s behavior and my own response. Through learned patience and diligence in following Nicky’s kind and calming professional guidance and instructions, I was better able to help Tove with her insecurities and provide the structure and boundaries she needed. Tove and I have learned so much from Nicky and the difference she has made in our lives is immeasurable! I highly recommend Nicky and Tamed Canine Dog Training and am planning to make the trip with Tove to her for additional hands on training for Tove and continuing education for myself!

Nicky and Natalie are absolutely amazing with our anxious Pitt/Rott mix Quinley. He’s a tough one, and they’ve done great work training and working with him. They understand dogs and clearly care. They give us such peace of mind when we are away. Highly recommend!

We used Tamed Canine to train our 1-year old bernedoodle to walk on a leash and obey commands around the house. As a busy mom of 4 young kids, adding a puppy into the mix was overwhelming for me, with no idea how to train him! Our trainer (Natalie) was phenomenal. From the start to finish, Natalie was knowledgeable, communicative, thorough, and and goal oriented. Whenever I had a question, Natalie had an answer backed by her extensive experience. Most importantly, we loved the results. We can now walk our dog without him pulling, he follows commands, and he lays down on his bed during our meal-times (instead of barking and stealing our food). He loved his sessions with Natalie and anticipated her picking him up each morning! We highly recommend Tamed Canine and are so glad we made the decision to work with them.

Natalie is a great dog trainer. She is working with myself and my young lab to have good behavior while walking. My lab has made very significant improvement, and I have learned very effective strategies to manage his behavior. Natalie is patient, kind, caring, and knowledgeable.
