Typically I don't leave reviews, good or bad. But two days ago my French bulldog hurt her back or neck and was crying in the most heartbreaking way and after calling around and talking to a bunch of people that seemed like they cared more about the money than my dog(which is like my little best friend) I kinda felt hopeless. To me I never cared about how much money I spent as long as she was okay. but when I called them they just told me to get her there and we can worry about the money later! When I arrived I was greeted and in a room quickly every single person from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Two days later my dog is pain free, my worry's are back to normal and they didn't charge me an outrageous amount of money or push anything that wasn't needed. I also run a very successful business built on morals and being good to my clients and when I tell you this one is great, believe me. Thank you to everyone involved in making coral okay again!

Five stars for sure! My previous vet did not believe in dental cleanings for dogs, so I followed their recommendation. Upon Simba’s first visit to Dr. Canavan I was educated on its importance and why. It seemed very logical. I did move forward with hesitation and so thankful I did. Many of the teeth were rotting, not just causing bacterial overgrowth but also causing horrible breath. Now, Simba’s breath is MUCH better, but what I love even more, is I truly noticed his energy and playfulness return. I thought his tiredness was just due to being older, obviously that’s one factor but the decaying teeth was taking more of a toll than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful! Dr. Canavan is wonderful, straightforward and passionate about the animals. All perfect qualities for a vet. Then add Laurie (client coordinator) and Charlcy (vet assistant, but goes far beyond that and wears so many hats) to the picture. These ladies make sure our pets and us parents have a great appointment from start to finish. Thank you! If you want a smaller clinic that knows you and your animals by name - not a corporate, revolving door in which your animal is just a number, then I would highly recommend Coastal Paws.

They took over Care Animal Hospital of Seminole, We took our dogs to that place for 13 years before it was taken over by the new Vet Coastal Paws, They not only priced us out of taking our dogs there, They burnt our dog viciously on there surgery table in three different spots on her, she was 13 years old and we were already nervous about putting her under at her age because of her age and the toll it would take on her. The day of the surgery when we came to get her, they brought her out and she had 3 different spots of massive swelling on her cheek, side and hip, they brought her out like that and I was the one to say what is this what is going on????? They pumped her up with Benadryl and other meds and sent her on her way. A few weeks or aprox a month later her skin started falling off in the areas that had swollen. When we brought her in and they evaluated and looked at the areas the doctor looked over the record and said her internal temp was 99 on the table and they turned the heater off on the table. Not sure what happened did she lay on a hot spot outside trying to turn the blame on me or really trying to convince me it is some unknown issue that happened. I will say they didn't charge me for the after care and there was much much needed for every two days for cleaning of the massive burn to her side for weeks, But They never took responsibility and I was never happy about that. Also my dog was so traumatized bc of the amount of after care by them and also by me who had to keep doing it at home for over a month she was afraid of me bc I had to do such intense cleaning and bandaging for so long. She still gets a bit nervous every time I even go to pat her after this ordeal was finally over and she has since healed. We switched Vets very soon after bc we are frequent flyers to the vets with our elder dog and have had an amazing experience with them and they make it affordable again to keep up with all the necessary events that happen with elder dogs. The most compassionate veterinary team you’ll ever find. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this vet’s office. They are, without question, the most kind, compassionate, and attentive team I’ve ever trusted with my animals. From routine wellness visits to unexpected concerns, they go above and beyond every single time. They take the time to explain everything clearly, they remember your pets’ quirks and personalities, and you can feel how genuinely they care the moment you walk through the door. Dr. Canavan, Laurie, Erin, Charlie, and Stephanie have all loved on my pets — especially my sweet Puff — as if they were their own. Whether it was a regular checkup or a tough day, every single one of them showed him so much patience, warmth, and genuine affection. Their consistency and devotion over the years have meant more to me than I can ever express. When it was time to say goodbye to my Puff, they created the most peaceful and dignified environment imaginable. They have a special room with soft lighting and a private door so you can leave quietly afterward. Every detail is thoughtfully designed to make an impossibly hard moment a little gentler. The entire team surrounded us with empathy, and they cried with me as we said our final goodbye. I have never encountered another office that shows this much heart. Their compassion doesn’t just show up in the difficult moments — it’s present in everything they do. If you want a veterinary team that truly loves your pets like their own, this is the place. They are exceptional in every way.
