(from Google)The Ranch is a lovely restaurant with a rustic vibe. We sat in the dinning area where you can see the wood fire grill and chefs preparing the steak. It was almost like a dinner and a show. I've been to a lot of restaurants in Visalia and this is one of the best. The ribeye and calamari were amazing.
Nothing but great things to say about this place the flavors are an experience in itself the decor and lighting is extremely laid back and comforting. The steak Teres major was absolutely mouth watering i left nothing on the plate they cooked it to perfection at medium rare 😋 the old fashioned was a nice compliment to the meal will 100% be back and have been letting people in on the new spot in town
I was genuinely excited to bring my family to this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations. Upon arrival, we were asked to sit by the door and have a drink while waiting for our table. This felt awkward, especially since the restaurant has a bar, but oddly, they also serve full dinner at the bar, which made the setup feel confusing and unorganized. The wine selection was quite limited and only available by the bottle, which wasn’t ideal. When our drinks arrived, they were served without napkins, which immediately made the experience feel less attentive and a bit unwelcoming. Small details like that really matter, especially at a place with higher prices. The atmosphere itself felt cluttered. There were many random objects placed on wall shelves, making the space look busy and somewhat chaotic rather than cozy or refined. The seating didn’t help either! tables were small, and the wooden chairs had no cushions, making it uncomfortable to sit for an extended period. As for the food, there were a few positives. The bread and butter appetizer was actually quite good. However, the main courses were a major disappointment. The meat was overcooked, burnt, and dried out, with no real presentation. The steak we ordered came out below medium rare, essentially raw and lacked any sides unless you were willing to pay an additional $18 for a portion of vegetables. For the price point, this was extremely underwhelming. The salad was made out of mixed greens and topped with drops of ranch dressing. Not appetizing at all. Overall, it was an expensive experience that did not deliver on quality, comfort, or service. Sadly, it’s not a place I would return to or recommend.
The atmosphere was beautiful. Really made it feel like you're eating dinner at someone's Ranch. The food was amazing. Meat was perfectly cooked. We had the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese sides. We had the Prawn Rissoto and the Filet Tips. Service was just as great! We will definitely be back!
Nice place for dinner, we showed up prior to our reservation and they sat us down quickly. The food was delicious the filet mignon was tender and melted with each bite. If you want a great tasting steak I would certainly suggest you try it. It was unfortunate that we did have to wait over 45 minutes for our food even after the appetizer. Initially the restaurant was fairly empty we assumed we would get it in a timely manner. The waitress didn’t really check in with us. Overall I would go back with the hope of getting better and timely service. I know the food will be delicious!
