I've enjoyed my walks there. I think its the only public place to take a walk in the woods in College Station. Some trail coverings are hard on the feet and some places are wet and muddy but it is a qalk in the woods. There are multiple path options and the paths are are wode enough for a vehicle.

Took my grands hiking last Monday. We had a wonderful hike made even better by a young man called Mr. Patrick! We ran into him a few times on the trail, he is employed by the park. He explained some of his job to the kids, they thought he was so cool. Will my middle grand started searching the trails for Mr. Patrick’s orange shirt, he found him way up ahead and tried to have us all ‘run’ to catch up with him. So, huge thank you to Lick Creek for a lovely place to hike and also to Mr. Patrick for making our day even better!!

What a great place to go on a nice day. They also have a center for kids to build bird houses and a chess table as well. Make sure to bring a water bottle. They so have a found for u and your animals at the beginning of the trail. Highly recommend

The nature center and some trails are currently closed. You can pick up a trail map and nature guide for the Yaupon Loop outside the nature center. American Beauty Berry shrubs were laden with purple berries, making this trip so worth it! I love the dirt trails!

The walking trails are well kept and clean. There is plenty to learn and discover for little ones. I can also get a jogging stroller down the trails easily, so that is an added plus.
