(from Google)This trail is very dangerous. The bridge collapse and apparently they thought it’s be a good idea to put a plank for people to cross over. Idk who thought this would be a good idea but it’s not. Someone could really get hurt.
Short trail by the swamp completed on about 20 minutes. I walked behind Warrington PSC campus in a circle. There was another extension that takes you to a second parking lot, that I did not walked. Still was nice to connect with nature.
The trail itself is fairly nice; definitely a decent spot for viewing wildlife. Unfortunately you may encounter lots of trash and graffitti in certain spots, and that is normal for trails like this that aren't state/federally managed. As many other reviewers have said (and this is common knowledge for Pensacola locals), it is in a "sketchy" area and I would not be comfortable holding expensive belongings out in plain view while walking by other people. I only visited once and may not visit again.
Very enjoyable, the wetland has changed dramatically in the past 30 years and not in a good way. I hope this brings more attention to an already stressed ecosystem, there are some beautiful flora and fauna, even the occasional black bear.
Could be great but the trail is in a sketchy area. The boardwalk and bridges are new/under-construction but they are spray painted and there is trash strewn about. Such a shame that it is in the state it is but this place is a victim of its location.
