(from Google)At first I was a little nervous, but the intake interview proved that Marty knows the science and how to use it to help dogs (and people) learn. When I took my dog back for his second week, he was so obviously excited! My dog LOVES all the people at Canines in Action. When we went for our first training together, the patience and kindness and respect Marty showed for the humans was amazing! And EVERY SINGLE dog was ecstatic to be around him and his staff. I was also impressed at how quickly and respectfully Marty intervened when a dog was in distress, educating the entire group on best practices. Without fail each "troublesome" dog settled down and performed the task perfectly (and with obvious adoration). Even more impressively, each human left feeling more confident in their own abilities. I am beyond impressed!!!
So far, im 5 months into the board and train program and my beagle has learned so much since. Marty really knows how to get dogs under control and teach them how to behave. His helper Andre has also played a huge role into my positive experience there too. You can tell they have a love for dogs like no other (which was a concern of mine before starting) My relationship with my pup has only gotten better now that im able to go on walks with him without my dragging me all over the place. This program is worth the investment because you, as a dog owner, will learn so much too. Best training in the valley by far!
My husband and I moved an hour away from our family, which made it difficult for a family member to help puppy-sit whenever we had to travel. Searching for a reliable daycare and boarding facility was stressful, especially because our oldest beagle is very vocal and tends to have a hard time trusting people. From the beginning, the staff here has been incredibly welcoming to both our dogs and to us. After every pick-up, they provide detailed updates about how our dogs did that day, including what they’re doing well and what they need to work on. Our oldest beagle has made noticeable improvements just from attending daycare. And our youngest, Lina, absolutely adores this place; she gets uncontrollably excited every time we arrive. This is now our go-to place for both daycare and boarding, and we truly feel at peace knowing our dogs are in such good hands
This place is amazing! I enrolled my dog, Ace, in their board-and-train program, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for his training and overall behavior. He stayed for about 4 to 5 weeks, and we’ve been continuing with the group classes for another six months. Marty is incredible with the dogs—he has a calm, patient approach that really works, not just with the animals but also when teaching owners how to confidently handle their dogs. You can tell he genuinely cares and understands how to bring out the best in each dog. The entire staff is friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They’re always available to answer questions and are very attentive to each dog’s individual needs. If you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and caring team to help train your dog, I’d absolutely recommend Canines in Action. Ace has made great progress, and I’m really grateful for the support we’ve received here.
Took my pitbull here for the board and train program. We both had fun every time and she became more calm and obedient by the end of it all. The staff was highly organized and professional. Worth every penny.
