(from Google)I went to this park with my com hab worker and it was my first time. I came here on Friday, 2 days ago and we were just walking around to pass the time. The background is nature like and there was this big pond with all of these bigger ducks in there and in the middle of a pond is the sprinkler system shooting out like a geyser. Then I know they started to follow us because one of us had food in our hands. I took a few pictures there and at a tree just me relaxing looking up at the sky. This is a good Park to walk around in the fall season. 🍁🍂 Maybe, a picnic in the summer. 🌞 Just don't expect a bathroom there because there is none. 🚻🧻🙅♂️🚫
Today I spent a couple of hours snowshoeing along the path that connects Goodhue Pond with Allison Pond. there is a tiny waterfall (see pic) and even in winter and the snow fungi and sometimes a deer or fox can be seen. Worth visiting in any season
This was a beautiful and peaceful bit of nature...We had a lovely spread while we watched the ducks and looked up information about the pond.
On the surface it looks small but there are several trails that lead all the way back to Goodhue Park. You can easily spend 30-45 Walking from end to end. Very Quiet and peaceful. Best to come on a dry day if you are a trailblazer as the paths are slippery with leaves and mud
This is a gem of a park - in the heart of Staten Island's North Shore yet a bit off the beaten track. It's very pretty and usually uncrowded. As a urban motorcyclist I love finding scenic spots that offer a respite from stop and go traffic, angry drivers and NYC's legendary potholes. This park, with a pond at its center, has turtles, egrets and of course fish. A lovely bit of shelter from the storm of modern life.
