Nice place, with consistent people who have great patience!! My dogs get to play all day with their dog n human friends, and I get them after work--worn out, only waking for dinner lol I have used the boarding service there a few times, from the time they were pups, and would also recommend!!

If I could give a no star review I would. I adopted 3 rescue dogs and went to Winding River because my daughter takes her dog here and has for the last 4 years with only 1 issue of the groomer completely shaving their Great Pyrenees to the skin. (Who does that)taken in my daughter’s other dog who also went here. When I took him here he was fine and no complaints were ever expressed by staff. They had groomed him for 3 years with no issue, at one of his appointments the staff told me they were unable to cut his nails because he tried to bite the groomer (being a Dane mastiff mix I could understand their concern) but when I finally got someone to tell me what actually happened m, I was told the groomer cut his nail to the quick and he lunged. Well, if someone did that to me I would react too. They acted like it was all him. I never took him back. Fast forward to last month. I decided to give them another try with my rescue dogs and my mom’s dog because they were a little cheaper than my regular groomer and I figured what could go wrong with a fff. Well I should have just paid more. My first concern should have been when I said you don’t use a collar on my tiny 2 lb Yorkie and to use a harness. She said we usually use a collar and leash. I said to her that at no time are you to use that on her and she must have a harness. She hesitated but said ok and I wasn’t convinced so I asked if I could stay and watch. She said no , they don’t”allow that. I said I will just wait here and she rudely said I will call you when she’s done. I was confused by her blatant attitude. When I went to pick them up I was in a hurry tor an appointment I was heading too . When we got home I started looking at the dogs and the groomer who I just gave a $30 tip to had done absolutely nothing. No nails cut, no Fannie’s done and no trim. I called immediately the next day and spoke with a man who apologized and told me to bring them in the next day to have them groomed for free. I agreed. The next morning the same rude woman from the front desk called and asked why I was needing to bring them back and I told her and she was snippy and condescending and rude, she huffed and told me who said to bring them back in and when I told her she said well I don’t have time to do that. I was beyond angry at this point so I just hung up and decided to just take the loss and never to return. Staff here are either not trained properly or just don’t care. The woman acted like I was just being ridiculous and inconvenienced her. Don’t take your fur babies here.

I had to board my dog for almost 2 months while looking for a place to live. She was 46 lbs when I took her. When I picked her up yesterday, I was shocked to see her. She is emaciated and her skin is dry and flaky. I'm honestly wondering if they ever fed her! She has sores from being locked in a kennel. Definitely never using them again. I included a photo of her from before and the other 3 are from yesterday. Absolutely unacceptable!!!

Love Winding River. The staff is very friendly and great space to let dogs be dogs as they enjoy and play. The groomers/bathers take the time to get my dogs clean and smelling good even when i know my dogs can be a bit difficult at times. Thanks to all the staff ❤️

I am going to leave my feelings out of this review and state the one fact that matters…GROSS NEGLIGENCE on the part of Winding River. Dropping our dog & cat off for a couple days of boarding while we were out of town, I never imagined it would be the last time I saw one of them again. Five hours into the trip, we received a phone call stating our cat Vegas and another had been killed by a dog. Vegas grew up with 150lb Mastiff, played with a 100lb doodle, spent almost every evening outside, only to be taken to this kennel and eaten alive. DO NOT BE LIKE ME AND NOT READ THE GOOGLE REVIEWS. Dead dogs, injured dogs, sick dogs, and now cats mauled to death by other animals, all in the care of Winding River.
