Super Paws Grooming

I’m writing this review with appreciation for the care you’ve shown us over the years, and with the hope that this feedback may be helpful to the owner from a customer’s perspective. Our dogs have mostly visited your shop for nail trims, and although we only had full grooming done once, every visit has been friendly and the care has always been good. On 12/2, My husband contacted the shop to schedule a grooming appointment for our Spitz mix, as it had been a while since the last grooming. I am only off on Wednesdays or Fridays, and the only available date I was given was 12/17. My husband asked if we could be notified in case of any cancellations before then, and waited accordingly before coming in today. It’s not easy to make a 40-minute round trip with a dog who gets motion sickness. When I arrived, I was told that our appointment was not for today but for 12/10, and that I was on the cancellation list. That was surprising, as I clearly remember being told over the phone with my husband that 12/17 was the only available date, and we had specifically asked if anything earlier might open up. I wondered if there may have been a scheduling error due to how busy the shop was. Thankfully, Alex was kind enough to say they could try to accommodate my dog today, even though there were already many dogs in the shop. At that point, I was asked to provide vaccination records. After showing them, I was told that Parvo and Kennel Cough (Bordetella) vaccinations were also required. This was not requested the last time we had grooming done—only Rabies vaccination records were asked for. When I asked why these additional vaccinations were suddenly required this year, I was told it was because our dog was over 10 years old and therefore more vulnerable. At that moment, it did cross my mind whether this requirement was being raised because there was limited availability to take us in today. When I clarified that our dog is actually 8 years old, Alex said she would check with Marco. Marco then came over and explained that Parvo and Kennel Cough vaccinations have always been required, and that with so many dogs in the shop, it is for everyone’s health and safety. I still wondered why this had not been mentioned last year, but perhaps it was because our dog was younger at the time. For regular grooming clients, these requirements may be well known, but since we had mostly come in only for nail trims, we were not aware that these additional records were necessary beyond Rabies vaccinations. Had we known in advance, we would have had ample time to get the vaccinations done while waiting for our appointment date, so it was disappointing to have to turn back. I’m leaving this review in the hope that, moving forward, vaccination requirements can be clearly communicated at the time of booking to prevent situations like this. I fully understand that these policies exist for the health and safety of the dogs, and it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about the animals. One of our dogs, who needed regular nail trims, recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and we plan to care for our other dog at home going forward. Every visit, I can see how much they genuinely care for and love their customers' dogs, which gives me full confidence in entrusting my pup to them. Due to medical issues, my senior dog only gets nail trims instead of full grooming these days, but they always make sure she doesn’t get stressed and treat all dogs with great energy and care. I highly recommend the warm and positive vibe that Marco and Alex create!

My Romeo is a golden doodle and he comes out looking super good. The staff is super friendly and kind. The quality of cut/trim or just a bath is amazing! I would recommend to everyone!

They were really sweet and loving with my dog. They had patience and complimented her constantly. They were gentle so never cried. She looked just beautiful at the end. 😍 We are coming back!! We were both happy 😁👍

After our groomer closed up shop, we needed a new local groomer. So glad we gave Super Paws Grooming a try. Our dogs always look great and the groomers seem to know exactly what I want from the cut.
