(from Google)Great trails but a bit wet right now! watch out for snakes!
Loved it for the past 8 years. Moving away, and we will miss this park more than anything else in Texas! All the paths, trees, pond, creek... absolutely tremendous getaway from the big city!
The nature center was pretty nice, they had many snakes and birds to look at as well as 2 small alligators. There are a few trails here, we only walked the trail that went around the lake.
This is a cool place for a meditative walk, or a just because walk. It's also a cool place for a picnic when it's cool outside, or later in the afternoon. If you are up for a serious trail walk there is that too, and if you just want to observe the water and fish, or feed the fish, that option is always there. And there are lots of turtles hanging around. This place is nature-full. There is a nature center nearby, which is quite fun, and my kiddo loves it. Especially the barn owl that lives there.
This is a really close Park to Harmony and spring trails takes about 3 minutes to get there from harmony. Has great walking pads places to spot birds and other wildlife. You can walk around the lake in about 20 minutes. It's an easy walk flat just watch out for the roots and don't trip. Plenty of parking safe and secure the police constables are right there in case you need help. Also spend some time at the Nature Center and learn about your environment.
