(from Google)Excellent, first time. I had high expectations for this restaurant. Atmosphere, restaurant was packed however felt cozy and classy. Service, Ryann was very professional and attentive. The Food perfecto, We ate chicken parm vodka sauce wasn't on the menu, however Ryann made it happen. We also ordered Caesar salad and the pasta bolognese delicious! Dessert we ate the most delicious Italian donuts. Pistachio martini to top everything off. Well done!
I photographed a baby shower here and also had the chance to enjoy the space as a guest, and it was a wonderful experience. From a photographer’s perspective, the venue is beautifully designed and works perfectly for events, especially for capturing clean, well-lit photos with flash. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, which made it easy to photograph candid moments and interactions throughout the celebration. The staff was professional and attentive, and the food and drinks were excellent. A great spot for hosting meaningful celebrations and social gatherings.
An outstanding dining experience from start to finish! The New York strip steak on special was cooked to perfection, and the bombolini donuts were a heavenly finish. What truly elevates this spot, however, is the service—Mark and Melissa were attentive, witty, and effortlessly accommodating, making every moment enjoyable. Sitting at the back bar, I could see why they’re hailed as some of the best bartenders in the tri-state area—a bold claim that they absolutely live up to. Friendly, professional, and memorable—I will definitely be returning!
Had an amazing evening at La Mondina. We were celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary tonight. The little vase of flowers and the sign "happy anniversary" on the table was an appreciated extra touch. The food was absolutely amazing. Jordan, our server was excellent, attentive but not overbearing and had a great welcoming personality. The antipasti was spectacular. The meats were some of the best charcuterie I've ever had. The mussels appetizer was also great, although I wish they were larger and had more meat but the sauce was phenomenal, bacony and just the right amount of spice. My wife had the risotto cabonara and it was perfectly cooked and still had a nice toothsome bite. The pop of fresh peas and crispy lardons was beautiful. I had one of the new menu additions, the pork ragu, it was outstanding. Tender and succulent slow braised pork tossed with perfectly cooked pasta and topped with deliciously creamy stracciatella. The finale of the desserts, bombilini with a trio of dipping sauces, that I will be dreaming about later and the blood orange olive oil cake, that was soft and had an almost a buttery texture, were the perfect way to finish dinner. As we were about to finish dessert the manager Nick came over to give his regards to the table and was a delight to speak to. After 6 years of living on the Jersey shore it's nice to finally find a restaurant that would hold its own against any restaurant in Boston or New York. I look forward to our next visit which I am hoping is very soon.
