We enrolled our 5-month-old Aussie, Whiskey, in the two-week board and train program at Bomb City K9 in Amarillo, and the transformation has been incredible. Before attending, she had no formal obedience or leash training, and inconsistent recall. Bomb City K9 sent daily updates with photos and videos, which made being away from her much easier and showed how much progress she was making. During the program she trained both at the facility and in real-world environments around Amarillo like parks, Tractor Supply, and Lowe’s, which made a huge difference in her confidence and behavior. When we picked her up, she clearly understood heel, sit, stay, place, leave it, and recall, and we saw immediate improvement. She now walks calmly in a heel position, comes when called by both of us, and is much more relaxed and well-mannered in public. She even greeted a neighbor and their baby by calmly sitting instead of jumping. Trey and Shanda, with Shanda as her primary trainer, did an outstanding job. They clearly care about the dogs they work with and take the time to make sure owners understand how to continue the training at home. If you’re looking for professional dog training in Amarillo, obedience training, or a board and train program, I highly recommend Bomb City K9. The results speak for themselves.

Bomb City K9 is absolutely amazing. Trey worked absolute wonders with our sassy German Shepherd, Stella. She truly came back a different dog after training with him. The structure, consistency, and care he put into her training made such a noticeable difference in her behavior and confidence. About a year after her initial training, Stella started to slip just a little, and thanks to Bomb City K9’s lifetime guarantee, she was able to go back for another week of training. That alone speaks volumes about how much they stand behind their work. They took such great care of Stella both times, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was in good hands.

They did a great job with my puppy. She is so much more a pleasure to have in the family trained and our older dogs handle her now better that she is trained. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a well trained puppy when it is done. Very professional and nice people. Trey and Shanda were great with Poppy!

This family owned business run by Shanda and Trey is phenomenal! They trained our dog when he was younger. He left a rambunctious hot mess and came back much more well mannered and obedient than he'd ever been. They routinely sent pictures during his stay of him sitting on his leash halfway across stores, in parks, etc., just like he always had done that. They required we humans be trained with him when we picked him up and told us then they offered a "lifetime guarantee" and we could bring him back free of charge anytime needed in the future. I see so many "guarantees" these days I felt it was a good sales pitch but didn't honestly know what to expect if the need arose. What would the catch be? A few minutes with him if needed? Maybe a few hours? He'd stayed with them 2 full weeks the first time and surely they wouldn't put *that* much effort back into him later. Wouldn't they blame the humans for not sticking to it? Fast forward a couple of years and I reached out, half embarrassed, that I'd slowly but surely let our little guy start to rule more of the roost than he should. *He* was happy but *we* were not and it was creating strain in our house. Trey responded and then called. He was 100% friendly, nonjudgmental, and offered without any hesitation to let Jasper rejoin them for training. I was braced for "well, did you follow everything we taught you?" or "there is a small fee for....". Not at all! In fact he said more than once without any uncertainty there was no charge. Perhaps a hope of a good review if they did good, but that was it. I was shocked. I asked how long--and was told they'd just wait and see, maybe a few days, maybe a week or more. Today I again picked Jasper up after spending 4-5 days with them. I again did my required training to do so. Jasper had worked primarily with Shanda during his time who sent pictures and videos and friendly texts talking about each day's events. Jasper had quickly regained anything lost and Shanda and Trey helped me remember things I'd forgotten. They encouraged me to ask as many questions as I wanted and take as much time as I wanted. We walked around their property testing Jasper's heeling and distraction plus each of his trained behaviors. He's like a much improved dog yet again! I know the cost of initial training is a lot of money for many. But, as in so many things, you get what you pay for. Trey told me today how many folks he picks up from former costly training attempts by other trainers that were failures. These folks are wonderful people who are kind and helpful and want the best for your dog's relationship with you. They are the real deal! We left again with promises to call them or text them and they'd invite him back or come visit him at our home, etc. Hopefully we won't need this, especially if this human does *his* part, :-). Pictures are from his training with them.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire team at BCK9!!! I took my incredibly stubborn 1 year old catahoula/lab mix to them with minimal knowledge and high expectations and I can only say they have by far exceeded everything. They sent pictures and videos daily on his progress and updates and then the day I went to pick him up, spent over an hour with me teaching me the ins and outs of what to do with him when I got home. A few weeks later, I boarded him with them and they continued to work with him. They continued to answer my questions when I had them and even made a house call a few weeks later when I was still having trouble with a few things (did I mention he is stubborn?!) He is doing so well now!! We can finally take enjoyable walks through the neighborhood, my son isn’t scared to play with him in fear of being jumped on or trampled, we can enjoy a family meal without him begging at the table. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you Bomb City K9!!!!
