Animal Medical Center

Came in today to have my dog seen for her routine vaccinations. Prior to coming in I was told the visit would be $110 including the $50 discount and if I wanted to do a three year rabies it would be $160. I opted for the yearly rabies and I came into the visit and I was quoted 189 which is more than what the receptionist I spoke to the previous week quoted me. I know that she is newer to the facility but i believe she should be familiar with the prices instead of giving out random numbers. I do enjoy coming here the staff is always friendly and helpful however today was not a good experience with the receptionist.

Always very pleasant. You can tell the doctor loves animals she is very hands on and gets on the floor with them. Nice staff. Clean office. Definitely recommend!

This Animal Medical Center is absolutely wonderful! Every single person I have encountered wether it's on the phone, at check in, the techs and the vets, has been so wonderful and so kind! They have treated my elderly cat with such care and kindness. The best Vet I have encountered in the 18 yrs with my fur baby!

Very sweet and helpful staff! After calling a dozen places for an international health certificate for my three kitties, I finally was met with helpfulness and kindness, which gave me instant relief. I had been stressing to find a clinic that could help me with a USDA endorsement, and after calling Bloomingdale I was happy to not only have found a clinic that could help, but a clinic so sweet and kind. When I brought my three babies, the vet tech and doctor made them feel really comfortable and was playing with them and offering treats after a stressful car ride. I knew they genuinely cared for the kitties, which was when I knew I put my trust in the right place.

I am extremely disappointed with how my dog’s care was handled by this office and I will not be returning to this clinic. After my dog’s annual visit, grooming, and trial bag of ElleVet CBD soft chews treats provided by the office, she developed severe itching. I was told the visit fee would be waived if the issue was related to services or products from the clinic, but the office blamed an OTC flea treatment (that I’ve always used) I only used the day before bringing her back in because she was already itching and they charged me anyway. I expressed that the only change had been the treats and the vet explained that this could be a reaction due to beef being an ingredient. I even asked if the exam fee itself could be discounted. Here we are the next morning and my dog requires emergency care due to vomiting, diarrhea and pouring blood from her rectum, heavy breathing and continued itching which is another unexpected expense and heartbreaking to watch. This situation was handled poorly, and I feel my concerns were dismissed rather than properly addressed. I now have multiple vet bills for an issue that was not effectively treated, during a very difficult economic time and right before Christmas. Because of this experience, I will not be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere. HOWEVER, Christina was very pleasant and I appreciate her kindness. Update! She has HGE which was cause by the steroid shot administered by this facility. No warning about the possible side effect, weighing of the pros and cons nor any other alternatives were addressed. Watching my dog go through this is God awful and extremely scary.
