I always go to this Petco for fish, they are always very knowledgeable and patient when telling me how to care for them and which fish will live best with each other.. I'll soon be bringing my dog in for grooming because the dogs I see being groomed always look so good.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the level of unprofessionalism I experienced with the Vet Clinic at PETCO during my puppy’s vaccination appointment. I was told that I was not allowed to record my own puppy while he was receiving his vaccination, yet there were no signs posted anywhere stating that recording was prohibited. No clear explanation was given, and the way it was communicated felt dismissive and unnecessary. As a pet owner, I have every right to feel comfortable and informed during my puppy’s medical care. On top of that, I was instructed to hold down my puppy myself during the vaccination. I have been to other PETCO locations, and the veterinary staff always handled the process themselves safely and professionally. Being told to restrain my own puppy made me feel uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about their professionalism and standards of care. What made the experience even worse was the vet’s attitude. She appeared completely disengaged, uninterested, and as if she did not want to be there at all. There was no effort to provide reassurance, no professionalism, and no sense of care for either my puppy or me as a customer. It was a very cold and unpleasant interaction. Because of this experience, I will not be bringing my puppy back to this location for vaccinations ever again. This location may be fine for purchasing supplies, but I absolutely do not recommend their veterinary services. This was an unacceptable experience, and PETCO seriously needs to address the professionalism, attitude, and standards of care at this location

Very unprofessional when it comes to appointments. I was notified the same day of my dog’s 5:00 PM appointment, while I was at work. That she suddenly couldn’t be seen at 5:00 because the groomer(Shanthi S) was done working at 6:00. I was then asked if I could come earlier, 3:45 no later than 4:00 PM. I rearranged my schedule and arrived 10 minutes before 4:00 PM, yet they still neglected to take my dog in. The groomer(Shanthi S) claimed she had previously notified me about canceling the original appointment, which was not true. I did not receive any call, voicemail, or message till the day of her appointment. When asked to provide proof to the manager, she was unable to show any evidence that she had contacted me. The groomer’s were very unprofessional and had extremely nasty attitudes throughout the interaction. I do want to thank the manager for taking the time to listen and understand my side of the situation, rather than simply accepting the groomer’s (Shanthi S) claim that I was late. I appreciate her willingness to hear me out. However, the last minute schedule change was not my fault, and I did everything I could to accommodate their request. Although she offered me 20% off a future grooming appointment, Unfortunately based on this experience I will not be returning for grooming services. Thank you for the offer, but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

After today’s experience this place is dire need of a customer service crash course. From the manager asking me to wait a few mins (10min) to finish a convo with the groomer to then her letting another customer skip me after waiting making me wait an additional 10mins to then the groomer telling me my dog couldn’t be seen because he was missing a vaccine. I respect policies and procedures. I respect them even more when they’re continuously followed. After pointing out to them that he was serviced in Jan lacking the same vaccine by the exact groomer I was speaking with and I wanted to understand what’s the difference between then and now the groomer decides to say that’s it’s why they’ve had a change of staff due to lack of following policies. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH YOU TAKING ACCOUNTABILITY & CLARIFICATION?? I’ve worked customer service for most of my life, she easily could’ve acknowledged her error and apologized and been transparent like hey they’re cracking down and I can’t make an exception. Which wasn’t what I was expecting. I just wanted my question to be answered. Instead she got her manager because quote “I don’t want people to say I’m doing something I’m not” girl what??? To then proceed to complain about calling the Vetco to help me sort out the vaccine documentation which her manager told her to do. I didn’t not request this help and was already sorting it out myself. Literally saying if I have to call for you I have to do for it everyone…girl…ok. Safe to say I’ll just battle the Cross Bronx and go to the Hutchison/throggs neck location. They may be unstaffed but at least they’re consistent with some kind of decent customer service.

An excellent, clean facility. Idve given it 5 stars if not for a disheveled staff that wasn’t ready for dealing both with an intense return and serving other costumers. Spent 10+ minutes as the number 2 in line waiting for them to sort it all out. Plenty of supplies - lots of dental cleaning options for dogs as well as high end food! Including fresh/soft food
