The staff and the Dr were very nice. It was our 1st time here and my dog was very anxious. The Dr was gentle and tried to make at ease.

I've been bringing my pets to the Animal Medical Hospital for years. They've taken care of three of my pets over the years with vet care, boarding and pet burial services. All the doctors, including Dr. Jordan, our pets ' current doctor, have provided great care, are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hospital for your pet care needs! 😊🤗

It was one of the most terrifying day of my life. My dog, Vito had been attacked while out on our usual evening walk. Everything happened so fast. I rushed him to Animal Medical Hospital in Hempstead which i have been going to for years. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Jordan took control with calm confidence. She could see the fear written all over my face, but she never once let panic enter her voice. She immediately assessed Vito reassuring me while directing her team with precision. Dr. Jordan didn’t leave me in the dark for a second. Every step of the way, she came out or called to update me, explaining what they found, what they were doing, and how Vito was responding. Her calm, compassionate voice kept me grounded. To this day, I can’t express how grateful I am for Dr. Jordan and the staff at animal medical hospital. Her expertise saved Vito’s life, but it was her compassion and dedication that made an unbearable situation bearable. Thanks to the team at animal medical hospital, Vito is still here with me today.

I was referred to this animal medical hospital by my (excellent) vet who is unable to complete international travel health certificate. I will start that I booked an appointment nearly two months before my departure date. I provided the travel information to the receptionist once I called. I immediately sent over my dogs medical records, followed by verifying what vaccinations my dog has had. I had asked about the EU travel specifications regarding the rabies vaccination, that my dog has had 3 year vaccinations. The receptionist said her record looked good and that it will be reviewed and nothing else is needed. She booked the appointment for September 22. On September 19, the receptionist calls to let me know that the appointment will land 11 days before my departure/arrival date and not 10 as required. The certificate cannot be completed. She will have to cancel the appointment and find a time to reschedule. Which is funny, because all this information was provided in the initial phone call. Inconvenient, but fine. The appointment was then scheduled for September 24. I asked if anything else was needed, and nothing else was needed from me. On September 22 (10 days before departure) I receive an urgent voicemail. So I call back, and I'm told that the doctor has just reviewed my dogs medical record and she cannot travel because she needs another primary rabies vaccination because of an 8 day lapse in 2017. They notify me 10 days before my departure, that she should have had another rabies shot 21 days before the travel date to bring her vaccination up to date, and that she cannot travel without this. When I furiously ask why now? This record was provided 7 weeks ago, and everything "looked good," they claim it was an "oversight." Really?? Why would you review the medical records 10 days beforehand when it would already be too late to rectify any issue and do anything about it?? Unorganized, stressful, not good. Ultimately, we are supposed to be paying for a service provided that you know the nuances of along with all the ins and outs. Now I am left scrambling to find accommodation for my dog who was supposed to travel in 10 days time, having never been left with a sitter or in boarding. Do better. The "oops our bad, sorry" isn't going to cut it.
