Perfect bike trail. Clean curves and very marked lanes. Park is beautiful definitely huge on the nature scene. I saw a copper head snake so please stay aware. You are in their home so if you dont bother them they wont bother you. Plenty of sitting areas and bbq grills. Everyone respected the leash rule and picking up after their pet. If you do the trail beginning at parking area to the end of the trail that feeds into the subdivision it will be about a 4 miles journey round-trip. Truly enjoyed the beautiful birds 🐦 and the perfect windy breeze. No area for water fountain or restrooms.

A wonderful secluded getaway (watch for the fairly unassuming entrance, I zoomed right past it and had to turn around!). Located just outside the city of Arlington this natural area is home to a shaded multi use trail both in heavily wooded and neighborhood sections. The path itself is fairly narrow but still offers plenty of room to walk, jog, hike, or bike (though I would watch my speed if I were biking given there are some fairly blind corners and pedestrians everywhere). Alternating sections between wooded areas and cityscape give you some variety during your exercise and there are even areas that open into expanses that run behind home properties located adjacent to the trail itself. Should you need to rest your feet, there are plenty of benches to relax at, but be aware that if you need to use the restroom, this probably isn't the place for you! I did 3k out and back without running into a restroom so I was thankful I had stopped beforehand. Lacking of restrooms notwithstanding, this was a great place for a quick jog and it was relatively sparesly populated so I was able to go at my own pace without running into anybody or feeling like a bike was about to run me down. Highly recommended if you're in the Arlington area!

Very nice cool walk under the trees through the bike trail. We walked down to the bridge and back. The water looks pretty shallow and you could see turtles peeping out. Serene and lovely area to walk, run or bike. There's alot of grills and picnic talbles. They didn't seem to be used much. Would definitely be a quiet getaway by day. 💕🎣🙏🏽❤️

I enjoy coming here to fish, and just clear my mind. However, I do see people walking and riding their bikes here frequently also. They do have multiple grills and tables to have a nice cookout, and there is plenty of shade to help with the heat a little bit.

We stopped here on October 6th, 2018 . The sign at the entrance has been smashed apart by vandals, so being the only vehicle at a hidden-from-view parking area, to be left while we were hiking away, didn’t feel safe. I have a legitimate interest in the history of the area and want to explore it as it is intended. It was uncomfortably hot and mosquitoes began to attack, so I will wait until after the first freeze , to return. January 21st, the freeze two days ago has assured us of a more sterile, insect-free experience. It was a perfect day for walking the dogs and riding bikes, as well as exploring the layout of this area. There were several other like-minded enthusiasts making use of this local treasure.
