Hidden Valley Park

Lots of hiking trails that are all connected, but have varying degrees of difficulty, bathrooms that dont smell horrendous, grassy fields, it was a ton of fun and my 6 year old had fun with the hikes my 3 year old did half of one then fell asleep in the carrier

Took my wife here for a view of the sunset in the winter time! I was honestly pretty impressed with the Mountain View though! The park is cute, cozy and tucked right on the side of the mountain through the pretty wealthy neighborhood! Has a pavilion, kids park, trails that walk pave the side of the mountain and I think it even has a trail that goes up the mountain. (don’t quote me because I didn’t go looking in the snow) I will definitely be visiting when it warms up in the summer. Great for a view, picnic, walk or just hanging out and getting outdoors!

Trail Review: Bear Canyon Bridge Hike If you’re looking for a great intermediate hike with stunning scenery, the trail to Bear Canyon Bridge is an excellent choice. The hike offers multiple routes of varying difficulty, making it accessible for a wide range of hikers. I visited in mid-March, and while spikes were helpful due to some icy patches, they weren’t absolutely necessary to reach the bridge. One of the highlights of this trail is the breathtaking views of the Salt Lake Valley. As you make your way up, you’ll be rewarded with beautiful landscapes that are perfect for photo opportunities. The bridge itself is impressive and definitely worth the effort to get there. On my visit, I found the trail to be relatively uncrowded, which added to the peaceful experience. There’s plenty of parking available in the lot south of the church, so finding a spot won’t be an issue. It’s also great to note that dogs are allowed on leashes for most of the trails, although some sections are clearly marked as no-dog areas. This makes it a great option for pet owners looking to enjoy the outdoors. Overall, the Bear Canyon Bridge hike is a fantastic way to spend a day in nature, offering a mix of challenge and reward for hikers of all levels. Highly recommended!

Beautiful park at the base of the mountain. There is a large and small pavilion with lots of picnic tables. There is a playground and public restrooms. Lots of grass and shade! There are hiking trails nearby. We went on a small hike to see the American Flag that is displayed in July. Wheelchair accessible all around the park.

We had no idea this park existed, let alone was so close to our house! We were only able to do the loop around the outside of the park and check out the stream running through the southern end but we will be venturing back to hike on the Bonneville shoreline trail. The wildflowers were blooming and we saw some little critters cross our path. Our kids will also love the playground near the pavilion. Great park!
