This Is An Absolutely Beautiful & Great Hike. When we went it was a light rain most of the time but it actually just made it an amazing hike and nice relaxing atmosphere. The trails are well kept and suitable for a family with so much beauty to see. Fun for adventures and seeing all sorts of nature and life to absorb. Highly recommended!!!💙

Great hiking experience. The lime kiln circuit hike is moderate about 1.5 hrs on casual hike . Very scenic , good amount of incline , and very quiet with few other hikers . Also nice picnic table and area

The Wildlife Habitat Trail which is short, paved, and accessible. Nearby is the trailhead for the Trail Among the Trees. That one is a bit more rugged with rocks and roots and things, besides going uphill and down in several places. There are some bridges along the way, and even a stream crossing at one point that says it is impassable in high water. Fortunately it was low when we visited. The scenery is nice, and there are other trails to explore and several picnic areas.

We did the Trail Among the Trees on a very nice February day. It hadn't rained in a few days, so the trail was nice and dry, but there were a few spots that would be a mess after a good rain. Most of the trail was narrow but paved. There were a lot of interesting stopping points, including several overlooks with benches. Toward the end of the trail, the pavement ended, and we walked down into an old quarry, near a large creek bed. The rocks were covered in a thick layer of deep green moss, but there were enough bare spots to climb on. Understand the rocks was a cool cave-like area just big enough to climb into. There is also a closed off cave toward the end that was interesting to check out. You can't climb in, but it's still worth climbing around & adventuring around.
